'Celebrity Apprentice': The Riverses melt down

I haven't been posting much about Celebrity Apprentice because it really hasn't been that exciting -- it's just a clash of egos week after week, and there are only so many ways I can say "Annie Duke annoys everyone" or "Clint Black annoys everyone."

But last night, Melissa Rivers got fired, and she went ballistic. So did her mom, Joan. Don't believe me? Check out the video above.

Joan & Melisa are both bad sports.....
no class whatsoever! Go Brande, you
deserve to win lots of money for your
charity! Go Girl!!!

Holy cow, can anyone say babies?!? Obviously Joan & Melissa are too busy living in la-la-land to realize how these types of shows always work. If you don't backstab someone, you don't get to stick around.

Also, I wonder when the last time Clint Black got told off like that was?

Here is what I think.....Joan and Melissa will come back as a team and it will be Annie and Brande, Clint and Jesse and Joan and Melissa and one team will be fired...that team..Jesse and Clint leaving a finale of The Rivers' vs. Anne and Brande.

I think both of them are sore losers and think theythink the world owe them something. They need to go get the face lifts or what ever they do. Melissa can not stand on her own two feet without her mother, this is so sad.
Ifeel sorry for their charity who needed money, Both of them are very selfness and only thinking of them. I'm glad they are gone. Good job Donald

The Rivers were annoying and rude and just as catty as Annie or anyone else, they were just over the top about everything. If Melissa wasn't getting enough credit for something, she was being ignored. If her or her mother weren't running everything, they "weren't being used to their potential." There was always some excuse for whatever happened to them. I was glad to see them go because it was about the money, not about being nice. I think the whole show is a joke, but they made it ridiculous.

This had me more wired than 24. Amazing.

I think you all are missing the bigger picture here....Annie and Brande both lied where Melissa was concerned. That's not the way to play the game (being dishonest).

BTW, Jesse James owes Clint Black a BIG apology in my book. He acted like a 2 yr. old that wasn't getting his way until the end when they won....

I say, bring back Melissa and get rid of Jesse James...He is such a jerk.

Annie is a shrewed woman with killer instinct. She is also a phoney with passive/aggressive personality. It was very clear Annie and Brande shut Mellissa out...cutting her off, being dismissive off her ideas. They treated her very disrectfully. I don't blame Mellisa being pissed and I do not fault Joan for defending her daughter like a mother lioness. Joan is and has been all her life a shoot from the hip, strong woman. No [BS] with Joan. I respect that. Yea, they were pissed...and deservedly so. I'd like to see them both come back as a team and anniliate Annie. This is GOOD TV!!! And another thing....long after this Season, the Rivers' will continue to be more well known and make more money than Annie - ergo, continuing to donate to charities. BRING THE MOTHER DAUGHTER DUO BACK, DONALD! I LOVE IT! AND I LOVE JOAN!!!

On a show where no one did themselves any favors Joan and Joan Jr. were an absolute disgrace! I say kick Joan out too. She doesn't add anything. I predict Trump and the Rivers duo will be shooting barbs at each other soon. Why the Big D - and everyone else is so intimidated by Rivers is a total mystery to me.

That's not the way to play the game (being dishonest).

Oh, Jo, honey, have you never seen any reality television before? Sneaky, conniving backstabbing is exactly the way every reality game is played!

I am sort of confused, though....what exactly were the Rivers expecting? That they would be co-winners?

The Rivers charity, by the way, is an upscale Meals on Wheels (which is alive and active in NYC) Both charities serve the same need.

Jessie acts like a 2 year old who pouts when he doesn't get his way, Annie is an obnoxious snob and Clint is just a nornal guy, with guy issues. I just love the idea of three teams at the end! Bring back the Rivers' and let the games begin.

I watched this show for the first time last night. Those Rivers women personify the ugly hollywood american stereotype. And, what's with both their faces. Does the daughter think she should look like mom. Maybe on Halloween but otherwise I don't know how anyone could look at the 2 Medusas for more than a nanosecond without running in the other direction. Scary TV. I won't watch again.

As a TV producer in Hollywood, I can assure you the Riverses were "performing" for the cameras and will never work on any of my projects. They are pretty ridiculous, even by Hollywood standards.

Bring them back Donald.... you want ratings, right? Those gals have gut instincts, albeit a bit narotic. Annie is interesting in a scrupleless way; Brande is a sheep in playmates' clothing; Clint arrogantly shrewd and a little chauvanistic; Jesse displays a passive-aggressive intellect. But the Rivers gals are very entertaining - and Melissa was right on the money. Too bad her charity didn't benefit.

I am glad to see the River(s) Rats gone!! They were nothing but bullies and teamed up (even when on separate teams) to get rid of everyone else. They can dish it out but they can't take it! I hope Vegas NEVER books Joan again. The comments she made about poker players being "white trash" and their money being blood money was so over the top and no I don't play poker. She must have forgot Vegas is where she made HER "blood" money. As for her loser daughter ... whatever!!!

So glad that those to are gone, Please dont come back joan.
A couple of shows ago you threw a drink on yourself.
when you little princess was in the board room.
What a horrible women and daughter.
Now we know why joans husband killed himself. How can any one live with those two.Go sell plastic things joan, much better then playing poker the home shopping network.

I completely agree with the anger that Melissa felt -- I don't agree with cursing everyone in the building out --BUT I can see how she would be that angry and upset. They are there for charity, not to rip each other to shreds!!!!

I CAN'T STAND Annie, she shut Melissa out on purpose and was being just plain mean!!!!! Brande I have no idea about. I can't stand Annie because I think she's underhanded and disloyal. Great qualities for poker, bad for life. She was just as mean cursing her "friend" out on the phone.

We all lose composure from time to time so I don't blame Melissa at all. Joan was doing what a mother should do, be supportive. Joan stated previously if Melissa lost fairly, that was ok with her..and I agree. She didn't lose fairly.

I just want to say, Donald Trump has made many bad decisions this season. First of all Clint should have been fired a long time ago. He should have never fired Khloe for a DWI in her past. I dont agree with drinking and driving but it had nothing to do with the show. The only reason I continued watching after that was Joan and Melissa. Now that they are gone its over for me. I cant stand that Annie, who is she anyway? What makes her a celebrity. Jesse James should win!!!

Talk about two sore losers...but then, I've never liked Joan Rivers. I mean she’s a funny person at times, but her laughs always seemed to come from her using her humor to tear other people down. It was like she used her act to humiliate anyone with whom she was having a tiff, or, she just chose to make others look bad, for whatever sad reason. As I watched the apprentice, I realized that I have no respect for JR and now, none for her daughter either. Why these two are given any license to critique people on the red carpet or anywhere else, is beyond me. It’s sad to know that we reward people like this.

Actually, I loved how the show worked out and I was glad to see these self-important know-it-alls get what was coming to them. Her daughter acted worse than any child I have EVER seen in my life. She was having a temper tantrum right there on TV. My own daughter, who is 12, has never EVER acted like Melissa, a grown woman, calling the other girls names and whining like the spoiled brat she is. No class, at all. I could not believe what I was seeing!! Personally, I’m glad they both left. But then, maybe a part of me did enjoy the “show”, the part where they were losing their control.

Oh, and does anyone else think Joan Rivers is starting to look like that Cat Lady? You know, the one who's had all the plastic surgery trying to look feline. They could be sisters. :)

Trump made a very stupid and very unprofessional decision. He fired Melissa because she told him "To let me finish".Trump is not used to having someone talking back to him. The reason for having the exercise is to see whose team can produce the most money and the firing is not based on previous performance. If Trump based his judgment from previous exercises, what is the point of having a new one. Annie is a snake, not a poker player but a POKE player. The blonde is a blonde.
