BRET MICHAELS Suspends 'Rock Of Love Bus' Production After Deadly Crash - Sep. 30, 2008

According to TMZ.com, POISON singer Bret Michaels is temporarily suspending production on his upcoming reality show "Rock of Love Bus" to reach out to the families of two women killed in a car accident caused by a "Rock" roadie.

A statement issued by Michaels' people at VH1 reads as follows: "A crew member from the 51 Minds Entertainment production of the upcoming 'Rock Of Love Bus' series on VH1 was involved in an auto accident on Interstate 57 in southern Illinois on Friday afternoon [September 26]. The crew member, who is not an associate of Bret Michaels or part of his tour staff, was traveling alone to the next location stop for the series. The accident resulted in two fatalities in one car and injuries to two passengers in another vehicle. The crew member survived and has been released from the hospital. Local authorities continue to investigate.

"Bret Michaels has requested that his participation in the production of the series be temporarily suspended in deepest sympathy as he attempts to reach out to the families of the victims. Traveling separately, Mr. Michaels had left Illinois early Friday morning and was not near the scene of the accident.

"Michaels, 51 Minds Entertainment and VH1 extend their deepest sympathies to everyone involved in this terrible accident."

Bret added in a statement: "As a father of two, I cannot even imagine what the families must be going through at this time. I will make every attempt to reach out to them to let them know that my heart and prayers are with them during their time of grief."

I never said that Bret Michaels doesn't care. I simply used the information that the family member of the victim said. She said she has not been contacted by Mr. Michaels or by anyone associated with VH1.
If he could get a press release out to TMZ, I'm sure he could reach the family of the victim...
This is not defaming someone. I reported the facts. Am I suppose to believe that the family member was lying to the Chicago Tribune reporter when she said she hadn't been contacted? Also, I never wrote that he didn't care.....

Why the [expletive] should they call the families? The dude wasn't working when the accident happened so [expletive] them!

Here's the problem: In his own life, Brett has a history of getting into car accidents that have been fatal to others, yet he is still into the fast-cars, fast-motorcycles, lifestyle. Based on that, its no surprise that he wouldn't give a [expletive] about people in his circle dying that way. Brett is trash.

People lie all the time, especially about whether or not they were contacted by someone. Either for the sheer fact of getting out of a sticky situation or for sympathy purposes.

This my third attempt to say this so hopefuly this will go through this time. I have had the chance to meet Bret and His Crew. He is a very caring person and so is his crew. You posting nasty things will not help what is going on. He has Haulted the production of the show and what does that mean. "HE CARES" . To the families, My prayers are with you and I will also be Praying for the guy whom done this to your family. He has to remember what he has done the rest of his life and will go to jail I am sure for a good part of it over what he has done. I knwo it will not bring back you family, but believe me when I say BRET CARES.
