'Big Brother 10': Renny is so yesterday
Forgive me, blog readers. My iBook G4's occasional inability to run The Baltimore Sun's blogging software, combined with a jam-packed weekend, prevented me from posting Patrick Gutierrez'Big Brother 10 recaps sooner. Here's his recap of last week's eviction.
Memphis used the power of veto to save Dan, so the Renegades alliance remained in tact and had full control over who went home this week. Renny, Dan's replacement on the block, and Keesha, her closest ally, refused to campaign against each other.
Jerry was upset Memphis had betrayed his wishes but didn't make his feelings public because he knew that at this point in the game, the right friend could mean the difference between a shot at $500,000 and being sent to the jury house.
Speaking of the jury house, April expressed her strong desire to see Keesha walk through those doors. Alas, she was disappointed to see her "boyfriend" Ollie instead.
Back at the Big Brother house, Dan and Memphis talked about who would be more beneficial to keep around. Jerry, a lame duck head of household, tried to plant seeds of doubt in Dan and Keesha's heads about Memphis, telling them (correctly) that he suspected Memphis had deals with all three of them (himself included.) They didn't believe him, however, and told Memphis about his accusations. At that point, it looked like Memphis and Dan were keeping Keesha.
As expected, the Renegades voted out Renny 2-0, bringing the house guest total to four. At the HOH competition, Keesha, Dan and Memphis competed in a "Freeze Frame" competition and were asked a series of true/false questions based on pictures they were shown earlier. Dan went a perfect seven for seven and won HOH for the week.
Thoughts: Jerry looks like the target at this point, but remember but what happened last season. A strong player (Natalie) and a weak player (Sheila) were left, along with the power alliance of Adam and Ryan, and the two guys (smartly) chose to keep the weaker player, knowing they could beat them in the final HOH competition. If Dan and Memphis were smart, they'd keep Jerry around and get rid of Keesha.
On the other hand, either Memphis or Dan stands a great chance of winning against Keesha because she is not well-liked in the jury house. In order for that to happen, however, one of the guys would have to betray the other. We'll see what happens. It all comes down to the POV.
