Reality television gossip wrap-up

Turns out our contestants on So You Think You Can Dance are leaving everything out on the dance floor. According to this article, two of the finalists collapsed during Saturday rehearsals and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Apparently they were dehydrated. The article does not reveal the identity of the two dancers. (Sorry folks!)

I was just watching an episode of Chef Gordon Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares the other night. Between watching that show while reading Anthony's Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential, I may never eat out again!

Nigel Lythgoe is calling it quits with American Idol. I guess Lythgoe is having too much fun judging So You Think You Can Dance. Read more about his decision to leave his executive producing role with Idol here.

Speaking of Idol ... Season 5 finalist Paris Bennett is pregnant! You remember "Princess P," right? She's the teen with the smoky singing voice and the Disney-character speaking voice.

About Sarah Kelber
Sarah Kickler Kelber, an editor in the features department since 1999, got sucked into reality TV with the first episode of MTV's The Real World in 1992. Then came Survivor and American Idol, and suddenly, the genre was everywhere. She started blogging about it for The Baltimore Sun in January 2006 and has logged more hours watching and writing about such shows as Dancing With the Stars, Big Brother and, of course, Idol, than she'd like to admit.
