'Big Brother 10': Libra leaves
Patrick Gutierrez gets us up to date on BB10:
It's another eviction night, but the focus in the house is more on Jerry calling Dan "Judas" during the POV ceremony than the fact that Keesha and Libra are on the block. Clearly everyone thought that was out of line.
Dan is eating up the sympathy from the rest of the house. He's very happy with his position. On the other hand, Libra is saying publicly that she's on her way out, but April seems intent on targeting Keesha because of what she perceives as Keesha's jealousy of her.
"It’s because I'm prettier than her," she told Ollie.
Memphis and Dan talked outside about approaching Keesha and Renny about forming an alliance that would give them the power over April, Ollie and Jerry if Libra were to leave. Once again, Dan appears to be the swing vote this week, only this time he'll be making the decision on his own.
Libra took Dan in the pantry to feel him out. Dan is being cautious, not promising anything because, beginning this week, the evicted house guests will be on the jury to decide the winner, so he doesn't want to make any enemies.
During the eviction ceremony, Keesha and Libra both took the high ground, expressing appreciation for their time in the house. In a surprise move, the house voted unanimously to evict Libra.
At the HOH competition, "Diary Room Confessions," contestants were given an actual quote from an evicted house guest's diary-room session and had to guess who said it. If they guessed correctly, they got to stay in the game and eliminate someone else, but if they got it wrong, they were eliminated. The last one remaining would be HOH.
Renny got the first question right and eliminated April. Dan guessed the next question correctly and eliminated Jerry. Ollie, facing 4-1 odds, quickly rang in for the next quote but was incorrect, eliminating himself and leaving the power up for grabs between Memphis, Dan, Keesha and Renny.
Memphis missed the next question so he was out. Dan was next to go. Renny got the last question right, winning HOH over her buddy Keesha. After being a supporting act all this time, now she will take center stage.
Thoughts: A case could've been made for keeping Libra around, but in the end, she just couldn't be trusted, not even by her own alliance. You can't afford to keep a wild card like that around.
With Renny as HOH, Keesha is going to have a very big say on the nominations. Bad news for April, I guess. Ollie is quietly hanging around. He's been happy letting April be the lightning rod. At some point, probably next week when she's evicted, he's going to need to make some kind of move.
It seems people have forgotten what a dangerous player Memphis is. Keep an eye on him. At this point, he's my favorite to win.
