'Big Brother 10': Dan wins HOH; Ollie calls shots

I'm not sure whether Dan is incredibly smart or kinda stupid after watching last night's episode of Big Brother 10.

Dan and Ollie were the final contestants left in the Head of Household competition, which required them to the hold themselves up by a rope. Dan told Ollie to sacrifice himself so that Dan could become the next HOH. If Ollie agreed, Dan said he would protect Michelle and put up a contestant of Ollie's choosing for eviction. Ollie essentially held all the power with the agreement.

Keesha immediately noticed that something was awry and commented that the pair were probably working out some type of deal. (She was right.)

Anywho, Ollie agreed. He sacrificed himself, and Dan became HOH. For all you hardcore BB fans, you know that the HOH gets a private room filled with various gifts. This week was no exception. His room was filled with pictures of his family and his girlfriend. The room also contained a T-shirt from his girlfriend that read: "Taken." (Dan wore it happily; Memphis got all macho and said he would never wear such a thing.)

Dan got choked up when reading a letter from his girlfriend, Monica. Ultra-cheesy violin music played in the back.

Renny was impressed with Dan's show of emotion.

Renny and Dan talked later that night about relationships. She wanted to know how many women he had "been with." Dan never answered.

Later, Ollie came to Dan's room for a little strategy. Ollie said he wanted to put up Memphis for eviction.

"It's a huge risk to put my closest ally on the block," Dan said during a confessional.

The next day, Memphis and Dan talked about evictions. Dan told Memphis that he had agreed to let him manipulate the evictions. Dan and Keesha started talking strategy later. (I swear, the back-stabbing is worse than Mean Girls!) Renny joined Keesha and Dan in the HOH room. She said she didn't trust Memphis. The three agreed to add Memphis to their group. They agreed to eliminate Memphis in the finals.

After contemplating his decision, Dan called everyone inside for the nomination ceremony. He told everyone that he struck a deal during the competition.

"I'm going to honor that deal," Dan told the group.

Dan nominated Memphis and Jerry for elimination. He used some lame football analogy to explain his decisions.

Jerry took it in stride. Ollie was confident that he had all the power in the house. Memphis was ticked off.

Tuesday is the power of veto competition. Stay tuned.
