« 'Project Runway': Saturn challenge | Main | 'Top Design' Season 2 debuts »

A quick update

I've been out of the country with limited Internet access, thus was unable to keep up on some of the reality TV news. Check out what's been going on:

Apparently, several blogs are reporting that executive chef Jill Snyder of Red Maple on North Charles Street is one of the 16 finalists who will appear on Top Chef. In other Top Chef news, Season 2 cheftestant Marcel "I make foams" Vigneron was arrested in Southern California on suspicion of drunken driving. See the details here.

Check out the new Survivor cast. Among the contestants are a 22-year-old pro video gamer and a 2004 Olympic gold medalist in track. There is also an actress who apparently was on Gilmore Girls.

Finally, Ollie and Michelle were both evicted from the Big Brother 10 house. Read more about it here.

Andy Dehnart was able to meet with the Survivor cast for the first couple of days of production. He's been releasing interviews and early impressions over at his RealityBlurred website. This is one of the better cast previews that we've gotten.

About Sarah Kelber
Sarah Kickler Kelber, an editor in the features department since 1999, got sucked into reality TV with the first episode of MTV's The Real World in 1992. Then came Survivor and American Idol, and suddenly, the genre was everywhere. She started blogging about it for The Baltimore Sun in January 2006 and has logged more hours watching and writing about such shows as Dancing With the Stars, Big Brother and, of course, Idol, than she'd like to admit.
