'American Idol': Top 10 Hit The Road Next Month
Archie, Cookie and the rest of the American Idol Top 10 are touring the nation starting July 1.
They'll be in Baltimore at 1st Mariner Arena on Aug. 12. The next day, they'll be in Philly. On Aug, 14, they sing in D.C. For the complete schedule, click here.
Who are you most excited to see? I'm going to see if I can arrange an interview with my favorite contestant Jason Castro. Heck, maybe I'll buy him a drink ... (Wait a second! Is he even 21?)

Comments
John-John: Jason is 21 so buy him that drink if he wants it. Best wishes on getting an interview. You are a funny guy and a very good sport. ::wink::

Hi Sarah,
Yes! Jason turned 21 during American Idol. I hope you are able to interview him and ask some really interesting questions (his "dreadheads" are tired of the "don't vote" question and the "dreads" questions! ) Jason is actually a very interesting guy and nothing like the idiot he was portrayed as by the producers of AI. Did you know he scored 1340 out of 1600 on his SAT's and was offered a scholarship to Texas A&M in Petroleum engineering? Did you know he went on several missions with his church to Russia and South America to teach kids soccer and built shelters for orphans? Did you know 15,000 to 20,000 people showed up for his homecoming in Rockwall and during the ceremony, he was commissioned by his pastor. Did you know Jason made the Varsity soccer team at Rowlett High School his junior year but broke his leg playing flag football and missed the entire season? Anyhow, I look forward to your interview with Jason. When it is available, please, please post a link to it on his website forum: http://www.daydreamingboy.com/forum/index.php?board=8.0
Thanks!

So excited you might talk to MY favorite contestant Jason Castro! He has a loyal following, called "The Dreadheads" who gather at Daydreamingboy.com...come on over and join us!
I hope so much you can ask him some new questions about his music and songwriting (not about his hair!). We'd love to know about his songwriting process (do the lyrics or music come first?....) or if he's collaborating with anyone to write songs for his new CD...which we can't WAIT to buy! Thanks so much.
P.S. and he turned 21 on the show in March.

If you get to talk to Jason: Please ask Jason about his drumming. Is that still a love of his? Ask him if he will do any drumming on his first album.
He is the most interesting of all the idols!! Wow, you should check out daydreamingboy.com. Also, he has about 2.5 million hits on his myspace!
Thanks..........

You are a smart person. I say that because my favorite contestant is also Jason Castro! :) He's amazingly refreshing, talented, intelligent and beautiful (inside and out). There's so much more to him than was portrayed on American Idol. It's all about the music for Jason, falling in love with a song and presenting it to his audience like a finely crafted gift. As a faithful member of his Dreadhead fan club, I hope you will interview him. We'll be eagerly awaiting your blog!!

Hi Sara! Jason turned 21 on American Idol so you could buy him a drink. But since he's working, probably a soda or smoothie.
As for me, I'm seeing the tour because of jason Castro. He's my favorite. 4th is the new 1st.

Yes, Sarah please arrange an interview with my favorite as well, Jason Castro! He is a doll...just so real, honest, humble, and sooo talented. What were the judges thinking!? I mean really, was it how dare Castro bring Marley or Dylan to the AI stage! The AI police just wouldn't think of it....
BTW, I am not a teenybopper. I'm a 52 y/o professional, and I look forward to following Castro's career.

The dreadheads (Jason's fanbase) is always up for a new and fresh interview! If you'd like to check out his fanbase, go to daydreamingboy.com/forum
Being a Jason fan, you could definately get a dreadhead number and hop on a bus to spread the dreadhead love!
(By the way Jason turned 21 in March, so you'll be safe to buy him a drink!)

Yes, please interview Jason Castro! He has a huge base of dedicated fans that would love to read more about him. Maybe you could ask some different questions. The ones that have been thoroughly covered: (1) Did you say 'vote vote' or 'don't vote'? (2) How long have you had dreadlocks/are they hard to maintain? (3) Did you want to be in the competition or not? Thanks!

John-John:
Gulp, it would seem that you've gotten yourself in a real pickle here. I'm crackin' up.

Thanks for the note Lisa!
And thanks for the flood of comments and e-mails I have recieved from all the rest of the Jason Castro supporters! He's got a loyal following. I never knew there were so many dreadheads!
Bucky,
I'm also cracking up. I'll be fine interviewing Jason -- if I get the chance.
I'm accustom to being in uncomfortable situations with sources. I don't think that my past rants will affect me that much.
I'll ask him the questions that the readers want. (With a few of my own of course!)
In short, I'm going to work hard to get that interview. I think it will be a hoot! Any questions you have for Jason or any of the Idol contestants I may/ or may not meet?

I hope you were referring to my note -- if so, you're welcome! I hope you are able to get the interview and I'm sure the Dreadheads have plenty of questions they can help you with if you need them. haha DH#1609

Just to let you know...daydreamingboy isn't the only place where dreadheads congregate. Also check out Castrocopia.com. There is at least one, if not two or three other forums dedicated to him, but DDB and Castrocopia are the most active sites.
Maybe you can notify McLovin or Liz Lemon at Castrocopia when that interview manifests.
BTW, I will be at the DC show! Can't wait to see the Pantz!

You should check out his video blogs on his myspace! http://www.myspace.com/jasoncastromusic He's got to be the most down to earth guy on this planet! Here's hoping you get the interview and that you'll be kind enough to share with his loyal dreadheads the full (unedited) transcript of your Q&A with him.

I'm not a trained journalist or anything but if I could ask Carly a question, it would be, "Geeze...did that hurt?"
