'Dancing With the Stars': Two stars are sent home

It's double elimination night on Dancing With the Stars -- let's get to the recap and see who's getting cut loose.

Judge Len Goodman says tonight's encore dance is Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska's mambo, which is a nice choice.

Then, it's time to start talking about who is safe: Steve Guttenberg and Anna Trebunskaya are in. ("WOW," Tom says, mocking Steve. Hee hee.) But, of course, we've got to draw this out as much as possible, so that's all we get for now.

The Jonas Brothers come out to sing "Take on Me" while some of the pros come out to dance.

Back to eliminations: Jason and Edyta are safe, and so are Mario and Karina Smirnoff. After a break, it's revealed that Adam Carolla and Julianne Hough are safe, too, leaving Penn Jillette and Kym Johnson and Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke. At long last, Tom announces that Penn and Kym are out. That wasn't a huge surprise.

Now, the women get ready to find out. Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough are safe, but it's time for more filler.

First, Cameron Mathison runs around New York City asking people about the show. More entertainingly, there is an aerial dance performance by Cirque du Soleil dancers, followed by another Jonas Brothers song.

More safe couples: Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez and Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas. Then a break, then more results. Priscilla Presley and Louis van Amstel are safe, leaving Monica Seles and Jonathan Roberts and Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani. Going home are: Monica and Jonathan.

Next week, it's the tango or the jive.

What do you think about the departures? I don't think either one is that shocking. That'll come later in the season.

I REALLY wished that Adam Carolla went home. He was ABSOLUTELY getting on my nerves, his dancing and his corny jokes that always took up too much of the show's time. However, they were 100% correct on voting Monica Seles out. She definitely has too many excuses. She didn't seem too interested in dancing, or in her partner (which is not good in the art of Ballroom Dancing). Next week, I'm EXPECTING Adam to be out, and possibly Marissa, although she is a perfect doll; I love her energy (and congrats on her and her husband expecting a child in the coming months)......All in all, I'm ready to see another week!

Penn was the most fun so sad to see him go

Does it bother Mario that not one person on the show has pronounced his name correctly?

SKK: THANK YOU! I keep thinking I am mispronouncing it in my head, but HE says "Mario" so the first part sounds like Mars. I can't figure out why no one on the show will do that. Len always pronounces people's names however he wants to (also calling Cristian "Christian"), but it would be nice if the hosts and announcer could get Mario's name right!

Yes patricia it would have been much better had penn stayed and the other couple gooooo! We are proud of Yamaguchi, Matlin....

I was glad Jillette got booted. BTW, anyone playing the DWTS last 2 game. No way anyone should have picked these 2.

I actually like the Adam/Julianne pairing. I'm not sure why, because he is a pretty terrible dancer, but I think he's a lot funnier than Penn. Maybe it's my inner masochist that wants them to stick around and keep dancing...

I hope Marlee Matlin wins she is so talented.
