'Queer Eye' redux

All right, now that the episode of Queer Eye I previewed has actually aired, I can talk about the end.

Eric and Tracy were meeting for the first time after talking online for six months, and they both seemed really nervous. The guys were going on and on about how there was no chemistry and it was awful and all this stuff, and I felt like they didn't know what to say in front of the cameras.

Maybe I'm just a bad judge of things, but surely they had discussed things like family and work and personal issues, but maybe neither of them was sure what the other would feel OK talking about with the cameras rolling.

I just thought the Fab Five were really judgey and mean, which is weird after they spent two days helping them out and being motivational and kind.

Maybe I've just forgotten how they usually act since I haven't watched in a while.

I saw it, too. I felt pretty bad at the end of the episode, but did you see how Tracy 'toasted' to them seeing each other again? I was hoping that maybe she was just a little tipsy and couldn't keep her eyes focused. I felt so bad for him, coming up to NYC and all. At least he got a lot of nice clothes out of it.

I missed the episode last night. What was the twist in the lead up to the date you mentioned in your preview post?

Oh, it wasn't *that* exciting -- but they were shopping for clothes at adjacent stores and got massages in adjacent rooms and never knew. (And they didn't seem to figure it out during their dinner, either. Maybe that would have been better conversation!)

What kind of drives me nuts is that we never find out what they thought of meeting each other. I got invested in the characters but then we are left with the Fab Five knocking their date, and it seemingly ending badly. But what happened next?
