Remembering Ed McMahon as beer pitchman

Like a lot folks, I remember Ed McMahon primarily as Johnny Carson's sidekick.  McMahon died yesterday at the age of 86.

But he also sold a lot of beer.

He did ads for Budweiser as this black-and white-video from Busch Gardens in Tampa shows.

And according to the obit in the Philadelphia Inquirer, he also did commercials for Erlanger Beer, a job  that required drinking a beer, over and over again, as the commercial was shot.

Anyone remember these commercials?

Anyone remember Erlanger beer?

He lives with his wife, Judith, a professor at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, in a downtown Baltimore rowhouse.
