Good beer spot in Taipei

Rob will be back soon, but he left this quick hit for the blog:

I found a good watering hole near downtown Taipei, Taiwan, a brew pub called Le ble d'or.

The dunkel is quite good, crisp with malt and coffee notes. The hefeweizen, not too bad.

The lager was passable; the seasonal, a honey-flavored number was too sweet.

Somewhat jolting to be waited on by young men dressed in German garb, speaking Chinese. But so it goes. Like getting Egyptian pizza in Baltimore, a sign of cultural fusion.
