Shoot the messenger: Spinning beer bottles predict Ravens loss
What do you do when you don't like the message ? You blame the messenger.
That is what I did today when the spinning bottle of Wild Goose IPA , which had correctly prognosticated the last two games, now predicted that the Oakland Raiders would defeat the Ravens this Sunday.
I tossed the Wild Goose and went with another Maryland beer, a bottle of Hook & Ladder Backdraft Brown. It too predicted a Raiders win.
What does this mean?
Are the spinning beer bottles of the world conspiring against us?
Should I switch to Ravens beer?
Anybody else have trouble finding Ravens beer in liquor stores.? I got shut out last time I looked for it.
What do we think of Backdraft Brown?
I found it thin, but lots of folks like it.

Comments
Backdraft Brown is an under-utilization of a great beer style. Good brown ales usually have such a great flavor (Brooklyn Brown is great, and Wild Goose has a good brown too, as I recall), and this one is, you are exactly right, thin.
I was very disappointed.

Rob,
If I remember correctly, Harford Beverage Co. (Harford and Taylor) carries the Raven beer.
The last time I had it was before the playoff game between the Ravens and that team in Indy that calls itself the Colts.
I put the last empty on the Johnny U statue before the game. Lotta good that did.
