Lineup change: Searching for a new beer bottle to spin
The Ravens lost to the Steelers last night, and my spinning bottles of Natty Boh and Penn Pilsner failed to accurately predict the outcome.
Changes must be made.
From now on, only local beers get spun. I could take the suggestion offered by Cheese and spin Clipper City bottles.
But I am also looking for other possible, spinnable locals. I was thinking of bottles of Brewer's Art beers, but their cages and cork tops would make spinning difficult.
Any suggestions?

Comments
The only other bottled locals (top of my head) not named Clipper City of Brewer's Art are:
Clay Pipe's Backfin Pale Ale and Hop-Ocalypse IPA, and The Brewers Alley's Kolsch and IPA.
Oh wait now I remember, there's also Flying Dog (they brew in Frederick but their spirit still seems to be in Colorado where they started), Wild Goose and Hook and Ladder.
Personally I'd go with the Backfin Pale because the crab on the design has the most Maryland/local feel to it.

Hook and Ladder is headquartered here, but they brew in Delaware.
Wild Goose is owned by Flying Dog - the the people at FD want to aggressively market in Maryland in an effort to get the beer associated with the region in much the same way that Sierra Nevada is noted as a California beer, or Harpoon as a Boston beer.
Now - are you just looking for a local Maryland beer? Or are you looking for a beer local to whichever team you are trying to predict? Lord knows there are plenty of quality brews being made everywhere now.

If you go with CLipper CIty, I would spin the McHenry beer. Seems fitting.
But even better than that, I would spin the Raven Beer!

I suggest getting a beer local to the opponent.
i.e. Yard's when you play Philly, Old Dominion when you play Washington, Thirsty Dog when you play Cleveland, etc.
Oh...and root for the Redskins!

How about trying to spin a growler from one of the many local brew pubs. I'm not sure how well it will spin but it will be a good reason to visit a pub and and bring home a fine product.

Rob-
Neal from Flying Dog here. I will personally guarantee a winner if you use a Flying Dog bottle!
On top of that, considering Flying Dog's relationship with the late Hunter S. Thompson, who was a HUGE fan of the NFL, doesn't it make sense to use a Flying Dog bottle?

Flying Dog is indeed the best beer in the US.

Ok I feel I have the definitive answer for you Rob. I spent the first 25 years of my life living in Sparrows Point, down by Bethlehem Steel. I have tasted all of the local brews (even some like Red Brick Station in White Marsh that only offer it on tap) and Clipper City isn't bad. But 7 years ago I moved to Thurmont in Frederick County. Last year I got turned on to Flying Dog and I haven't looked back since! Not only do they offer a wide variety of beer their bottles spin rather nicely as well! I promise you no matter which beer you choose from Flying Dog you won't be disappointed.
