Another clue for Name That Bar

DSC_1376.JPGSince nobody has guessed our latest Mystery Bar, I'm going to dangle another juicy clue in your face.

See this photo? This is another photo from the same place.

Where is it? Do you know?

Can you solve the puzzle?

Name That Bar, vol. 21

DSC_1381.JPGFact: The first person to name this bar will win a prize.

Fact: This Mystery Bar is easier to name than the last one, which took people more than a day to figure out.

Fiction: I once filled up this glass with malt liquor and drained it in one gulp.

I'll publish the comments and announce the winner this time tomorrow.

Good luck, everybody!

Nobody has guessed yesterday's Mystery Bar yet ...

... and just like Powerball, the prizes have doubled! Wait -- do the prizes actually double in Powerball? Who cares?

Everybody seems to think the pressed tin ceiling of our Mystery Bar is Brewer's Art. Well, it ain't, folks. I'll give you a hint, though -- the first letter of Brewer's Art is close to the first letter of our Mystery Bar. Hit me with your best shot.

Name That Bar, vol. 20

DSC_1001.JPGMan, it's hard for me to believe we've done 20 of these.

This morning, I went back and looked at the first one, of Mt. Washington Tavern. That was the one where I naively put the name of the bar in the photo file. Doh!

Think of all the bars we've named along the way, and all the wicked wicked awesome awesome prize packages that have been won.

So here you have it: Mystery Bar No. 20. If you know it (or think you know it), leave a comment. I'll publish all the comments this time tomorrow.

As noted by commenter Evan, you can only see this particular spot if you're in Joe Squared and you look straight up.

Photographer Alexander D. Mitchell IV thought he was being sneaky with this one. Turns out, stumping Midnight Sunners is no easy feat.

Thanks for playing, everyone.

Unlike previous Name That Bars, this time around, I've changed things up a bit.

I still want you to post the name of this bar in the comments section (if you think you know it). And I'm still going to award a prize to the first person who guesses correctly.

But I'm not going to publish any of the comments until this time tomorrow. That way, more people get the chance to guess. Everybody ready? OK, here's the picture ...

Of all the photos I've sifted through in all the Name That Bar contests, this one made me laugh the most.

Oh, and for the uninitiated, whoever names this bar first wins a prize. Good luck! Here's the photo ...

Evan's winnings

evan.Normally, it takes me a few weeks to hand out prizes for Midnight Sun contests. But Midnight Sunner Evan jumped at his chance to claim a Midnight Sun wicked wicked awesome awesome prize pack for Naming That Bar.

Evan took home a custom Land of the Lost metal lunchbox, with DVDs of the entire TV series inside, as well as William Shatner's autobiography and a book about roommate quarrels called I Lick My Cheese.

As you can see, Evan was quite happy with his winnings.

He did, however, ride his bike to The Sun, and I'm not sure how the heck he got all that junk home. Then again, Evan does have the skillz to pay the billz.

First off, if you remember, Steve from the Name That Bar contest last week? Of course you do.

As you see in the photo to the right, Steve picked up some 3D glasses, some Monsters vs. Aliens coasters, Yanni's newest CD, a History Channel special about the plot to steal Abraham Lincoln's body, and a bobblehead doll from the movie Tropic Thunder.

The red thing at the bottom of the pile is a Frisbee which, unfortunately, wouldn't fit in the envelope. So I kept it.
