Corkboard: St. Patrick's Day in Baltimore

St. Patrick's Day is around the corner.*

There will be scores of options that day - our bar database alone lists some 35 Irish pubs in the area.

Each one of them will have some kind of celebration, even if it's just a dying their drinks green. See FindLocal for Baltimore St. Patrick's Day events (more coming, so check back).

And there will be scores of specials - junky ones and very good ones.

So, where to go? Who has the cheapest specials? Who makes the best shamrocks?

Let's make the comments below the depository for all-things-St.-Patrick's-Day in Baltimore. Leave your suggestions below.

*It's on March 17, by the way.

Baltimore.org has a nice compilation of events, descriptions, and links above. It's what I'm using to map out my St Patty's day festivities.

Penny Drafts and Free Cereal Bar at 6am coming to No Idea Tavern on both Saturday, March 12th and Thursday, March 17th. More details to follow!!!!!

I'll be the red-headed leprechaun ponied up to the bar @ Mahaffey's around 12pm

Looneys has over 20 Bands starting March 11..Bel Air & Maple Lawn will have outdoor tents all week long. Canton will open @ 6am March 17th with 98 Rock LIve..wil offer a free Breakfast Buffet and Happy Hour drink price until 11am..Bel Air and Maple Lawn will open @ 8am and offer the same specials..live music inside & out, great specials all day long..And its NCAA tourney time and all 3 will show every game..check out www.looneyspubmd.com for all the info..

St. Patty's + NCAA Tourney = major crowds. Should be a good day for bar owners.

Rumor has it that the Canton bars who have tents outside won't have them through the weekend because they're only allowed to have their permit for two days... so Thursday and Friday.
I'm hoping the festivities continue through the weekend, tents or not!

The Reserve is throwing a block party on Saturday the 19th.

And even though it's not an Irish pub, I'm a big fan of Muggsy's for St. Patty's day.

Blarney Stone in Fells. No green beer crap but plenty of Guinness, Jameson, and real poitin. Put some Pogues on the jukebox and avoid the fratboy bar crawls.

America's Oldest Irish Pub will be celebrating with live music on Sunday, March 13th, Parade Day, with Irish brunch at 9:30 am, and the music of NUA! From 5pm on.
St. Patrick's Day Eve toast at midnight on Wednesday, free Tullamore Dew shot with each pint, 12am to 1am.

Larry Flyn'ts Hustler Club has drink specials and hot girls all day. Perfect place for all kinds of debauchery. http://bit.ly/hbzlOl
