Chuck Brown, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Arcade Fire pick up Grammy nominations
The last batch of Grammy nominations have been announced! And there were a few surprises. For starters, a dead person scored a nomination. That would be Michael Jackson, who is nominated for best pop performance for "This is It," a song he wrote with Paul Anka that was featured in his concert film of the same name. Also surprising: Arcade Fire are nominated three times, including album of the year. Their competition in that category? Lady Gaga and Eminem. Of local interest: go-go godfather Chuck Brown was also nominated for best R&B performance by a duo or group for "Love," a track in his new album, "We Got This." Robyn, who'll perform at Rams Head Live in February, got her first nomination for "Dancing on my Own." A full list of nominees is here.
