Girl Talk announces 40-city tour in 2011, including four stops near Baltimore

DJ Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, announced a new 40-city tour for next year that will stop in Baltimore and Washington D.C.

The tour kicks off in Nebraska next week and will end in March 2011. Girl Talk is known for compositions that are all samples, sometimes containing dozens of them in one three-minute song.

His shows are no crazier than a night at the Thirsty Turtle, without the stabbing. His signature schtick is toilet papering the audience and flouting copyright law.

His area stops include Rams Head Live and the 9:30 club.

Update: Tickets will be available on Girl Talk's Facebook page starting this weekend, says Pitch Perfect PR.

Richmond is nearby, but Philly is not?

I would make the drive to Philly... Electric Factory is a much better venue, esp for hipster party antics typical of a Girl Talk show.

And Matteo is right... I drive to Philly for shows from bmore, even on a weeknight. Richmond is too far.

agreed - Philly is early 50-60 miles closer than Richmond and that's not even accounting for horrific traffic around DC.

Awesome ... thanks for the info Erik. Any word when tickets will go on sale?

Who the eff cares if Richmond or Philly is closer to Baltimore. He's playing IN Baltimore.

will update with ticket information as soon as i have it

Anybody go to the GT show at Loyola two years ago? That thing was a banger.

Anyone go to the girl talk show at the depot many years ago? That was a true banger

@Cantonite... it matters because Rams Head is so godawful.

I think Rams Head is a pretty solid room...certainly better acoustics than the 9:30, which is the worrrst...

by the way, did I incorrectly navigate to The Hype Machine?

No dates for AZ :(

the last date is for AZ, in Tempe
