Stabbing Thursday night at Power Plant Live after Ravens Kickoff Party

A 22-year-old male was stabbed last night at Power Plant Live shortly after the Ravens Kick-off Party ended, police say. At around 11:15 pm, the victim got into an altercation with another man inside Power Plant Live, detective Jeremy Silbert said.

The suspect, described as a white male in his "mid-20s," stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing on foot. The victim did not immediately realize he had been stabbed, the incident report says. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, and his wounds are not life-threatening.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after a witness called 911, and they interviewed several witnesses. Silbert didn't know how many witnesses were on the scene, but the Ravens Kick-off party had just ended at 11 p.m., Power Plant Live rep Christopher Furst said. Some 2,000-3,000 people attended, according to the venue. Silbert says conversations with witnesses are ongoing.

Furst hadn't been notified of the stabbing when Midnight Sun called for comment. Sal DiGiorgio, spokesman for Power Plant Live, later e-mailed a response, saying that the incident was an "isolated altercation."

"Security personnel [sic] and BCPD were on site," DiGiorgio said. "The area welcomes millions of visitors per year to a safe atmosphere and is fully committed to ensuring the safety of all visitors."

Hope the victim's OK. It's just a game fella!. Remember this sorry knife-toting SOB the next time you are waiting in the "pat down" lines at M&T Stadium

Right! If they are committed to ensuring safety why not pat everyone down?

"Buckcherry rules"

"What? Buckcherry sucks"

stab stab stab stab

Is it just me, or has Baltimore gotten a lot more "stabby" recently? Is there suddenly a bullet shortage in this town?

Shooting is easy and gets boring. At least the guy getting stabbed has a small chance of defending himself.

let the parade of sanctimonious race rage begin. oh wait - crime on makes people in the county angry when black people do it.

There is is recession. The price of bullets have gone up. Knives are cheaper.

Maybe people are just being more environmentally conscious. You can't reuse a bullet. Save the bay!

I'll stab you good for that comment, David!

Did the guy who stabbed the victim get bussed in from the local colleges?

I'm surprised the words "animal", "welfare","sterilization" are yet to be used in the comments. I guess that only happens when the perp is white.

Why do people think they were white? There are plenty of people from every race there, if not more non-whites than whites at this point.

was Ray Lewis at the party?

What is Maza staring at so intently?

My guess is The Wall.

The folded arms gaze into, the wall.

@ANON2 hahahaha.... Have you ever been to Power Plant Live, it is NEVER more Non-White then White!!

Now the libs will want background checks and waiting periods when buying knives.

I know the victim and he was stabbed 9 times in the lung, liver, and spleen how is that not life-threatening?

That's according to the police incident report. If you want to talk more about it, e-mail me: ermaza@baltsun.com. Police can't because of policy put me in touch with witnesses or victims.

With Obama being elected, the rednecks shot up the price of bullets. Maybe that is why we have all of these stabbings?

Wisdom of Chris Rock:

You know what you need?
We need some bullet control.

Man, we need to control the bullets,
that's right.

l think all bullets should cost $5,000
$5,000 for a bullet. You know why?

'Cause if a bullet costs $5,000
there'd be no more innocent bystanders.

That'd be it.

Every time someone gets shot, people will be like, ''Damn, he must have did something.

''S***, they put $50,000 worth of bullets
in his ass.''

People would think before
they killed somebody, if a bullet cost $5,000.

''Man, l would blow your f***ing head off,
if l could afford it.

''l'm gonna get me another job,
l'm gonna start saving some money...

''and you're a dead man.

''You better hope
l can't get no bullets on layaway.''

So even if you get shot by a stray bullet...

you won't have to go to no doctor
to get it taken out.

Whoever shot you
would take their bullet back.

''l believe you got my property.''

That's right, man.

- did not realize Gerry was going to be there....

College kids, underage drinking, buses and the occasional stabbing coming to a casino near you or as they say a family oriented venue

Ever see The Professional?

The knife is the last weapon you learn how to use since you are the closet you will ever be to the target...

FYI - Professionals slice arteries and let you bleed out in 10 seconds...They don't pull that prison system shank s***

He is a family member, his name is chris, the knife went all the way through and almost hit his heart. A hair more and it would have been punctured.
He is on machines for feeding. He is in bad shape...so much for what the police say....both persons were white...

First of all I hope that this guy makes it through ok.

I have a bit of a bone to pick with this and how some venues are treated compared to others and most of you will not like what I have to say.

It just seems to me that there is a disparity in how we react to violence depending on the venue and the kinds of people who frequent these venues. I remember a while ago the police were all about shutting down the Velvet Rope after an incident, but you aren't hearing the same for the Power Plant, or for many places in Federal Hill.

Especially Federal Hill. How the hell is it ok for all of these fools to be drunk in the street holding up traffic, and the cops nearby do nothing? While we are at it, they seem more interested in the drunk snooki looking girls than the crime happening right in front of them.

This is not my best rant at all since I just woke up, but it needs to be said. The response from the city and the police is different depending on the location.....

"personnel [sic]": how else do you spell this word?

The lower the crime numbers get, the more crime there seems to be.
