On the blog, you'll find, among other things, concert announcements, breaking news, bars closings and openings, up-to-date coverage of crime in nightlife, new music, round-the-clock coverage of Virgin Mobile FreeFest, handy guides on bars staying open past 2 a.m. on New Year's Eve and those that carry Natty Boh on draft. Thanks for reading.

Since when did this become a music review blog? There is an alcoholic beverage in the banner, not a treble clef. Out of the last 20 or so posts, the overwhelming minority is about baltimore bars. Shame. I do heart wtmd tho. That guy's pic is just too...

Wonder why she picked 1st Mariner? Odd choice to kick off a world tour, IMO. Not that I don't love me some B-more... just saying...

@robert: thanks for reading Midnight Sun. The blog covers two beats: nightlife and music, and so, there'll be content from both. Unfortunately I have to remind you that no, content on the blog hasn't shifted to music from bar/drinking news, something you might have noticed if you'd just bothered to scroll down the blog.
Here's just a sample of the bar blog posts that I've written this past week.
I'll also point out that Im working on print stories on Baltimore Beer Week and a gallery of the best bars in the city.
Next time, read closer:

Man....would everyone cut this guy some slack. Sure, I've ripped Erik when he's posted wrong information, but everyone getting on him about quality of posts is ridiculous.

You're a teatotaller, aren't you Mazza? Admit it. You don't even drink!

Music posts have always been a part of Midnight Sun. Look at the archives and stop whining.

Erik, while I believe you are making a genuine attempt to include bar/nightlife posts, there has been a major shift in the content of this blog since you took over. For better or for worse, Midnight Sun has become more of a music forum than about what's going on in the Baltimore bar scene, and the commenters are right to at least discuss the change. Good luck.

as a follower of this blog from day one, I even remember Sam lamenting the fact that he'd get 100+ comments for a post about tipping a bartender (or similar) vs. 0-5 for a music one. While I'm not that big into the music scene, keep pumping them all out and I stay happy
