XLerators are on the way to Pub Dog
Just got off the phone with Pub Dog owner Steve Osmond, who said they ordered four of the black-covered XLerator hand dryers for the Baltimore location.
When they're installed, which could be in a couple weeks, Osmond wants me to come down, so they can take a picture of me standing by the hand dryer.
"I'm framing the whole thing and posting it in the bathroom," Osmond said.
Now I'm all blushing and stuff.
On a more serious note, I think this whole story goes beyond me ...
All I did was stick up for the little people -- the folks who, after they're done giving their hands an honest scrub, want something that will evaporate the moisture in mere seconds.
That's not too much to ask. And Pub Dog delivered. Let's give them a hot, dry, round of applause. Thanks again to Excel Dryer for spotting the post in the first place, and donating a free XLerator. Our cause was just, and we'll get our just rewards.

You know, I tried the Dyson Air Blade, and it chopped my hands off! I had to have reconstructive surgery. Now I'll only type at half speed for the rest of my life.
Hee hee.
In all seriousness, I tried one of the Dyson Air Blades at the Inner Harbor pavilions and wasn't impressed. It just seemed so ... limp-wristed.

Are they going to have the automated soap dispenser and the automated Purrell dispenser as well? Make it happen Sam.
