The Reserve isn't closed, it just has BGE issues
The Reserve has been closed a couple days this week due to an electricity outage, according to the blog's Facebook site. The South Baltimore bar isn't closed for good.
I'd heard plenty of rumors this week about it being shuttered, and I published a post asking people about it this morning.
I should have just checked the bar's Facebook page. Sorry for furthering the rumor ...
I've been really under the gun this week -- today I had to run back to Pasadena for the third time in three days for a story -- and been tossing everything that comes my way on the blog.
Anyway, back to work on this story, which will come out Monday. Can't tell you what it is quite yet, but I hope it will make a splash when it runs.

I live a block away and we all had power restored Thursday night. The Reserve has been opened since.

Too bad, this bar is run by a bunch of chuckles. Did you open a bar to cater to the community or your small circle of friends? There are plenty of neighborhood bars then this joint.

kind of irresponsible to post a bar going out of business and rumors of unpaid employees because of a power outage. dont you agree?

The Reserve is open and will always be open. On Wed. July 27th and Thur. July 28th there was an electrical fire on Health street that had power out for everyone on Heath, Marshal and Light street. The power came back on around 10 pm Thursday; however, do to the beverage products being warm we did not open We were open for business as usual on Friday the 29th. I can ensure everyone that the Reserve is doing very well and will continue to serve great food and drinks to our wonderful patrons.
