Dick's Last Resort coming to Inner Harbor

dicks.jpgDick's Last Resort, a chain with barbecue and live music, is coming to the Inner Harbor, according to the company's website. Dick's will settle in the space next to the Hard Rock Cafe, at 621 E. Pratt St. According to the sign, Dick's was supposed to open in May, but that hasn't happened yet.

Dick's lovingly refers to its patrons by using the suffix 'heads.' Like Parrotheads but with Dick as the first half of the word. What fun!

Good news is, it's easy to avoid.

Dick's Last Resort...2am, 5 shots and 250 pounds of fun?

What used to be there?

p.s. That's a website I won't be opening at the office.

Oh, I hope they have t-shirts!

Live music, huh? I hope they'll be hiring original bands from the Baltimore area.

Been to this place before. If you like to be treated like s**t then this is your spot. This is one of those insult you for fun bars. Really nice idea for the drunk, affliction wearing crowd in Baltimore.

??? And yet Baltimoreans rail against Milan and Pur (RIP)...How many of these lame, generic chain bars or "Patty O'Swilligan's" can you fit at the Harbor, let alone in Baltimore??

Not for nothin' but this place is going to make a million dollars

@ Anonymous: I believe the space was powerdogs a few years ago, and has been empty since. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was 07ish that it was last used.
powerdogs was pretty mediocre of a hotdog stand type place.

I'm fully in favor if this!

Sounds like a great place for Yankee/RedSox fans to congregate on game days so they can stay far away from my favorite bars.

Uh oh, looks like my plan for Rudey's Bar has come true.

Now if the Universe could whip up some gruit for us, please.

I think I went to one of these in the Flats in Cleveland. It was all fun and games until they threw peanuts at me.

Do you think the bar on Philadelphia Road, Dick's Halfway Inn, will have a problem with this place? Or will Dick's Last Resort have a problem with Dick's Halfway Inn? I guess the real question is -- Which Dick came first?

Well, one is only half way in....

@WiseLisa- it all depends on which Dick is bigger;)

This is jusr what Balt. needs. A family type place to feed the hungry tourist as well as the locals, and a FUN place which will have acoustic acts as well as full bands on the weekend. Located in the power plant a great location near Candem Yards and Emitt Banks stadiums. Menu won't break you and it's a hilarious place with all kinds of suprises. You have to check it out!

@Dutch -- That's good. One of the qualities I for in a restaurant is that its menu won't break me. I hate being broken.

Emitt Banks stadium?

Any idea when they are opening yet?

Dick's opens this Sunday, June 27

@samsessa "I must break you."- Dick's Last Resort

Emitt Banks stadium = M and T Bank stadium?

Ernest T. Bass Stadium?

Aw man this one time I went to Emitt Banks stadiam and saw this totally sweet show event and then afterward had a delicious family meal at my favorite local establishment with live music and good family fun! Check it out!
