Corkboard: Where's the best place to watch tonight's Maryland-Duke game?

vasquez himself, holstering his gunsI have decided to start a new semi-regular feature on Midnight Sun called the Corkboard.

It's a place where bar owners, bartenders and enthusiastic bar customers can post their specials for certain events. An all-shill zone, if you will. But that's not a bad thing in this case.

Right now, I'd like to know what kind of specials Baltimore bars are offering for tonight's Maryland-Duke basketball game. Tickets are in high demand, so I'm sure a ton of people will be watching it on TV.

Well, bar owners, whatcha got for us?

I really like this idea, Sam. Good call!

My patronage is available for sale to the highest bidder. ;) I am so pumped for this game, and I don't think my nerdy JHU neighbors will appreciate the screaming that will definitely ensue.

No Idea Tavern has 2 for 1 drinks til 7pm for happy hour. Customer Appreciation Party from 8-9pm with complimentary top shelf open bar. Ladies all you can drink from 7pm til close for $10 and a beer and any shot tonight for $7 and $5 burgers. And of course the Maryland vs. Duke game on tonight with sound. That's all I got for you tonight.

Where's the best place to watch tonight's Maryland-Duke game?
Comcast Center silly!! See you all there!

The Irish Channel on Rt. 3 is the best place in Crofton.

I say we have a UMD bar crawl. I say we start on Fort Avenue.

See you there Sturmy! :) Bring your earplugs

your moms house

My 21st birthday, many years ago, was spent watching a Maryland - Duke game at the Green Turtle. MD eventually won in OT and the atmosphere in the Turtle was great. Decent sports bar to watch any local game...especially a Terps game at home vs Duke on senior night.

Hummers in Canton is a good place to watch the game. It's become my neighborhood spot.

$1 Coors Light and Yuengling drafts. 2 for 1 for the laaaadies.

Join me, won't you?

And JZ, good call on the sound. It must be on for me. I won't watch a game at a place that doesn't have the sound on.

Captain Larry's has Crab Cake Night: $9.50 for 1 Crab Cake,
$19.50 for 2 Crab Cakes w/2 sides, 5 until they're gone & Happy Hour prices 4-7pm & $1 Natty Bo's & $2 Miller Lites!

Great idea, can you do a similar post for the Faceoff Classic pre/post game this weekend?

Muggsy's Mug House!!! one of the owners there is a Maryland alumni so if any Terps sport is televised he's got it on tv LAX, Soccer, Girls Volleyball. and yes the sound is on even when they're not televised 105.7 the fan echoes through the stereo, like this football season only 3 televised games seriously? as for specials anyone who rocks Terps gear gets $2 domestic bottles all night, 1/2 off Specialty Dogs and red shots of Awesome whenever he feels like pouring. the best part is when there's a good crowd everyone is glued to the screen, and Danny's had a couple drinks, we all get into singing the fight song and doing the cheers like we're back in the student section. Danny likes to call Muggsy's the unofficial "Official" Maryland bar of Baltimore. so put on some Red and come on out tonight its the next best thing to being at Comcast.

I like John's idea about the UMD pub crawl....leave your knives at home though

Mario Lucas' Knee High Socks " your moms house"
might not like it over here, we have rules.

Mario Lucas' Knee High Socks -- I heard that there is a railroad bridge in Melbourne, FL that is fun to cross. You should check it out sometime. Try around 11 PM or so. Ta ta!

JZ has to pimp out his own bar...try paying for some advertising, its a Jets bar and no one from baltimore should go to no idea

Sorry Sam

Caaan you feel the looooove toniiiiight?

Hee hee. I've got to laugh, because if I don't, I'll cry over comments like yours, hutsch.

Hey John does the Irish Channel have any deals for the game and will they have the sound on.Thanks

Does anyone know any good spots to watch the game in Pasadena that also has the sound?

How is high tops in tommonium.I went a couple weekends ago but it was during the day. That had the game there many tv's and projection tv and good food. Not many people but I am not sure if it was because it was mid day.Maybe someone esle knows.

At TURPS of course!

The best place to watch the game hands down is in College Park, because after the win tonight, the whole college park will go absolutely crazy...! Experience where the magic actually happens...anywhere in college park!!

At slainte... Industry Night baby!

I consider this post a success. Thanks, everybody!

I ended up watching the last 10 minutes of the game at the Pratt Street Ale House after the Muse show. It was $3 pint night. Mmm.
