Seems like something No Idea/Don't Know would have but that is pure speculation.

I think Turp's in Mt Vernon has NHL Center Ice. I remember a non-Caps gaming being on the TV when I was there in October.

The wharf rat in fells point has the package, and better yet the games are actually on them too!

Wharf Rat in fells point and the old Rat now Pratt Street Ale House have it.
Posted by: Chris G | December 15, 2009 12:42 PM
I believe City Limits in Locust Point has it
Posted by: TheBeav | December 15, 2009 12:51 PM
Bleachers on Fleet St. had it when I lived in Canton, I'd be surprised if they got rid of it.
According to the website, No Idea carries it too.

Kooper's Tavern
Posted by: Trip Klaus | December 15, 2009 12:58 PM
Stalking horse in federal hill has it
Posted by: Ryan | December 15, 2009 1:02 PM
No Idea and Don't Know Tavern both have it.
Posted by: jason z | December 15, 2009 1:07 PM
God, I love being correct.
Posted by: Josh | December 15, 2009 1:22 PM
Claddagh's and JD's in Canton both advertise that they show hockey games. Not sure if they definitely have the package but since they advertise the sport I assume they do.

Thanks for all the options!
Now the next question I've got - which place will be the most friendly to a non-Caps fan. It's not that I don't appreciate their skill but I'm a Buffalo girl who bleeds blue & gold :)
Posted by: Andrea | December 15, 2009 3:12 PM
Go Sabres
Posted by: JD | December 15, 2009 3:45 PM
Andrea,
No Idea Tavern has Labatt's Blue Light and Molson Canadian in bottles for all of the Sabre's fans that go and watch them. We even have IC Light for the Penguins fans.

I thought No Idea/Don't Know were Ney York and Boston bars?
Posted by: TS | December 15, 2009 4:17 PM
Jason,
I'm sold!!! Kicking myself for not knowing this before....
but do you have beef on weck? :)
Posted by: Andrea | December 15, 2009 4:30 PM
Andrea,
Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.
Go to I-Bar, it's on Maryland Ave. just a couple blocks north of North Avenue (almost next to Nam Kang).
The guy who owns it is from Buffalo. One of the bartenders is from Buffalo. And, best of all, their wings are based on the original Anchor Bar recipe so you know they are one of the best places for wings in Baltimore. The rest of their food is at the very high end of quality for bar food too, I just had the cream of crab soup and crabcake, and both are among the best in town. And I'm picky.
And you KNOW you'll get your Sabres games. With audio, which I doubt you get too many other places.

So the Bills games moved from Fletchers to the Gin Mill. I haven't been, but I've heard they've also picked up the Sabres crowd too. Yay Buffalo!!

Here's another question - has any bar figured out a way to carry Versus while it's not available on DTV?
Posted by: Peter | December 16, 2009 12:05 PM
All 3 Looneys have every package avail (NHL<NBA< NFL< College Basketball) and show up to 18 games at once
Posted by: bill | December 16, 2009 1:55 PM
all Looneys has Versus...The have both DTV and cable now

iBar has Authentic Buffalo Wings, Labatt's Blue, Genny Cream Ale, and the feel of back home..
Please feel free to join us
2118 Maryland Ave, 21218

Really, Gary? 18% gratuity automatically added to any check with food service? That's kinda weak. Also, the only "authentic" wings in Baltimore? Questionable. (both observations are from the menu on the website)
Probably still be in to see you anyway. I heart wings.

That's a bummer.
Internet Cafe + Wings = Sticky keyboard

"Really, Gary? 18% gratuity automatically added to any check with food service?"
Better be damn good service!
I demand freedom of choice to stiff crappy or indifferent service!
Posted by: Stebbin | December 21, 2009 7:03 PM
Yes - Auto tipping is becoming more and more common. If service is bad or indifferent I WANT TO KNOW.
AND YES - Baltimore's ONLY AUTHENTIC Buffalo Wings. I stand by that. If you know Buffalo Wings then here is the place to be.
City Paper voted us Best Wings in Baltimore......guess you'll have to see for yourself. ASK FOR ME if they aren't.

This is an interesting can of worms.

Interesting indeed...............
The minimum wage for service personnel is nearly half that of the standard minimum wage.
Good servers are hard to KEEP.
The reason calculated tipping was instituted at iBar was because many good servers were getting stiffed. Often. Nature of things sometimes.
I decided that I would show them MY SUPPORT as best I could. That was the way. NONE were allowed to "phone it in" and if they do, they don't last.
If you are not happy with the service, I would GLADLY remove the 18% and let you decide.I will then determine whether it was the wait staff, the kitchen staff, or restaurant policy which caused any problems.
If changes need to be made, then I make them, whether it is policy or staff (or even customer).
Decide AFTER your meal - not before.
And arresting someone for not tipping? Lunacy.
As I said - See me if there are any problems. I will fix it or at the least, explain it and apologize. If you are still not happy - post away my friend.
Generally I tip 30% because I am aware of a servers life. Wouldn't it be great if everyone did hat? Imagine the GENERAL increase in the service level.

Gary,
Stopped in for first time recently based on reviews and wings were very good but your blue cheese was lame. You gotta have good BC. There are some decent wings that beat your package and price= Kislings.

Anyone know a bar for Flyers Fans by chance???
Posted by: James | January 14, 2010 10:24 AM
The problem with auto-tipping is I tip 20% or more as a rule, because its easy to add up and I'm lazy, however, if tip is added in, that's all they get. Damned if you do, I guess.
Oh, and also, Go Pens!

I'm not sure how I didn't figure this out 4 months ago, but Rafters, up on Fort, has Center Ice this season as well as (I've known this for years...my favorite...) $.35 wings Wednesday nites.
