Try Sly Fox Pub on Fort Ave. I heard that they are a Redskins bar, so they would probably show the Caps.
On a side note, I wonder how much business they lost last Sunday. DirecTV blacked out the Redskins-Lions game on NFL Sunday Ticket in the Baltimore area because they applied the 75-mile non-sellout blackout rule. What they didn't realize was that the game was being played in Detroit- so the blackout rule should have only applied in the Detroit area.

Disregard my last post. I misread the question. Sorry.

I don't know about what bars do or do not have Comcast, but I feel your pain.
In the meantime, call Comcast. (1888comcast)
Select "upgrade your service."
That will connect you with a customer service rep right quick.
Lodge a complaint and explain to them that they are making a bad business decision.
Millions of people have DirecTV and a sizable number of them are probably hockey fans.
Remind them that the NHL has been struggling to get back fans it lost after the lockout, and they need all the eyeballs watching their games as they can get.
Vs. is a niche channel, so they can't really afford to lose that many viewers, especially when their advertising clout has dropped considerably.
And if you're feeling really good about it, lodge a complaint for me about the loss of cycling as well!
Ok, down off the high horse.

The one and only Muir's Tavern!

I had this same issue last year when I was trying to find a basketball game that was showing on CN8, Comcast's Philly channel that carries local basketball games.
Only places I found were Luca's on Fort Avenue in Locust Point and the Waterfront Hotel in Fell's Point.

Go to Crazy Lil's
It's a Caps bar with a lot of good specials during the games

I think No Idea and Don't Know have the hockey package and would play the Caps games, but I'm sure Jason can chime in on that. Otherwise I know a lot of people go to Crazy Lil's for the games in previous years, but I can't say what their cable feed is.

Both No Idea and Don't Know have the Hockey Package from Directv but nobody has Vs which was what the Capitals played on last night. I called Directv but with no luck. Crazy Lil's is a Caps bar and Molly is great but they weren't able to get it either last night. I am not sure who else has the Hockey Package. It was weird that the Skins game was blacked out last Sunday, that was a first for me in five years with Directv. I think that Directv and Vs are having a pissing contest right now.

@ jason-
It's Comcast and DirecTV.
Comcast owns Vs, E! Entertainment Television, Style Network, G4, and The Golf Channel and is raising their subscription fees for providers. Oh, wait. Only DirecTV, not Dish Network, or Time-Warner, etc.

If you want just go down the street to Locust point and go to CITY LIMITS they are a huge caps bar....they always have the games on....I'm sure sam can back me up on this one

Chw- you are correct, as long as Directv has football they can carry or not carry anything they want. I probably pay Directv $1000 a month when you add in all of the sports packages and that's per bar. It sure would be nice to own a speakeasy!

I went to Looneys Tuesday night and was told they didn't have the game... not sure if the bartender knew to check Comcast, I just left.
