Sipping Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry beer

michelob ultra pomegranate raspberry

This post might just put a permanent dent in my manliness. But that's OK.

Last week, Amie saw an ad for Michaelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry beer (think they could have made the name any longer?).

When she asked me to pick her up a six-pack at the local liquor store, I cringed to myself.

I figured she would try one, not like it, and I'd be stuck drinking the other five bottles of fruit-tastic beer.

Oh boy!

Turns out, it's not actually that bad ...

If you like some of the Pub Dog's fruity beers -- like their blueberry or watermelon, you'll probably like this stuff too.

On first sip, the fruit is the first thing you notice, and then, as it hits the back of your palate, you taste the beer.

Now, we realized, the only problem was our timing. It's not hot outside anymore, and Amie only wants to drink Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry to cool down. So I might end up having the other five after all.

The more I think about it, that's actually not such a bad thing. Mmm.

ummmmmm is it wrong that I think that sounds DELICIOUS and I want to grab a pack immediately.
Crap. I'm such a girl.

i'm risking my man card on this, but yeah, it's not that bad at all. pretty smooth taste.

Man card, please. :)

So this is a low-calorie, hyper fruitinized, light beer...

For people that really want a diet cherry 7-up but want to eventually get that 'ultra' buzz?

Will you be swithing to Apple-tini's while you're at it?

And re: the name of that beer, I know those words but I don't understand them in that order.

First music that makes you cry, now Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry.... Sam, you're going soft on us!

haha. jk.

That beer sounds good, but I agree, definitely a summer drink.

Ugghhhh.....once upon a time there was a man law about putting fruit in a beer. Now we just have fruitty beers.
Sam, the beer Gods will now strike you down!

Oh yeah, baby. You know I gotta get with some of that. Just what I need for my slow and fruity roll.

I've never tried MUPR, but I was surprised by Clipper City's Oxford Organic Raspberry beer. It was really delicious and crisp, and the sweetness of the fruit was just a hint, not overbearing. So if you want to be unmasculine AND buy local, it's the beer for you!

All of you should be ashamed of mocking Professor Sessa's choice of beer!

Sam, let's carve out some time to compare our sport coats with leather elbow patches over a fine Vanilla-Apple-Grape-Ice-Nectar-Asparagus Budweiser Select.

It looks yammyyyyyyyy and i want that bottle for party at my friend's home.

You must throw a mean party, games. Passing around a bottle of beer with your pals from your ESL class and shilling for your lame games web site.

JTK -- Bully!

I'll be with you after I finish smoking this pipe of delicious Cyprus Smaugweed.

Dude, I love your blogs ... I like your style ... but, well ... this has got to be one of the gayest things an American beer company has ever done.

Granted, I realize you're just doing your job, and you do a fine job of it, sir. I guess I should say "thanks for taking one for the team." :o)
