Baltimore Beer Week begins today

baltimore beer week

Suds lovers unite! The first (and hopefully annual) Baltimore Beer Week kicks off with a cask-tapping by Boog Powell himself tonight in the Inner Harbor.

All in all, the organizers did a fantastic job organizing hundreds of events over the course of 10 days to celebrate all kinds of ales, lagers and the like.

The Web site with all the info is right here.

Happy Drinker Rob Kasper is all over Baltimore Beer Week. So is b writer Michael Cook.

WOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Happy Baltimore Beer Week folks. Hopefully the first of many, many more.

So what events / tastings are people going to get out and see? Troegs, Weyerbacher, and Stone caught my eye at Max's (next week; Troegs and Weyerbacher are Monday, Stone is Thursday) as well as Dogfish Head at Koopers (next Thursday).

I'm also really impressed at how far reaching this; even State Line liquor is getting in on the action.

hey! did they really make a P-film to finance this thing?

I can't wait. If only I didn't have to work and had more money, I'd attend more events...What was the name of that mallet again?

Mallet name here:

(cheap plug... had to)

It's "The Star Spangled Banger" :)

wow, did you hurt your back reaching for that obscure info?

as long as that film dose not contain anything film with boog, i may want to see it...

I'll toast you with an ice cold Bud from Shirley's Honey Hole.

Will Shirley's Honey Hole be offering any free tastings?

I can't wait to get into Shirley's Honey Hole.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
