A new Fells Point bar?

Got a tip yesterday that a new spot called Little Phil's has opened in the South Broadway space that used to be La Marsa (and before La Marsa, Wee Pete's).

Little Phil's has a six-day liquor license, which means it will be open until 1 a.m. and closed on Sundays. No food yet, my tipster tells me, but food is in the works. I'll keep you posted.

By the way, Green Cilantro was open again last week and then raked in some money from the Festival crowd. BAR was also hopping on Saturday. Fletcher's downstairs seems mostly closed...?

Speaking of new bars, what is the new place going into the old Kiss Cafe space in the Can Company (canton) ? I ran by it a few days ago and it looked like something called "Langerhans" or similar. Sam (or anyone else), do you have any insight on this?

Thanks!

I thought Green Cilantro closed? I was around the Canton Can Co. last evening and saw a new place is opening where Kiss Cafe once occupied. There was a sign hanging out front of the building...

Fletchers downstaris closed last week. Langermanns, new restaurant in the Kiss space, southern inspired american fare, look for november opening

Fletchers opened the bar for the festival with $2 bottles & $3 cocktails...trying to make a buck on the inventory that otherwise would sit for a while.
We stopped into Little Phil's and met the owner. Nice enough guy, prices were decent, but it was festival weekend so who knows.

the rumor is that the new place in the Can Co. will be serving "southern style cuisine."

Fletchers has been bought back by the old owners and they have closed to do renovations. They still aren't sure when they are reopening

Girl, that's interesting. I called Craig Boarman the other day but never heard back from him. I'll try again tomorrow.
