I'm up for another one.
I'd recommend The Hamilton Tavern or Racers.

I would say hold it in Federal Hill, but judging from the previous contest I doubt we could agree on what exactly is Federal Hill! :-)

We've done Fed Hill and Mt. Vernon, let's have the next one at Bad Decisions whenever works best for you.
Posted by: jason z | July 20, 2009 11:36 AM
I vote for Silks!
Posted by: Josh | July 20, 2009 12:03 PM
This one should be a soirée or a hoot-nanny.
Posted by: JD | July 20, 2009 12:09 PM
JD, we've already had a soiree
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/midnight_sun/blog/2008/08/recapping_the_soiree.html
I like social because it sticks with the theme of "words that mean party that start with the letter S" -- namely Sam and Sessa, but also Shindig, Soiree and Social
Posted by: Sam Sessa | July 20, 2009 12:12 PM
Racers!
Posted by: Nikc Miller | July 20, 2009 12:17 PM
I'm all for having it in NE. Hamilton Tavern is a little small for a shindig or soiree, but it may be able to manage a social. The Parkside or Racer's would work too.
If it's in Fells obviously it will need to be at Bad Decisions.

I'm in... I say Fed Hill!
Posted by: eCommerce Consultant | July 20, 2009 12:34 PM
Fed Hill, eh, ecommerce? Is that because you live there and dont want to have to ask innocent bystanders like eeyore to haul you back home from another neighborhood? Hee hee.
In all seriousness, I kind of don't want to do Fed Hill, because we had one at Idle Hour. I want to spread the love a little bit.
Posted by: Sam Sessa | July 20, 2009 12:37 PM
Another vote for NE.
Posted by: Brad | July 20, 2009 12:46 PM
Of course I'd be more then happy to host one Sam. If it ends up in my neck of the woods.
Posted by: John Reusing | July 20, 2009 1:03 PM
Canton.
Posted by: SF | July 20, 2009 1:06 PM
Nothing against Bad Decisions, but if that's the venue can we make sure it's on a non-roller derby post party night? Gets a little crowded with everyone watching video recaps of the previous derby on the tv.
Posted by: Chris | July 20, 2009 1:27 PM
Frazier's! Or Bartenders! That has a good amount of space upstairs.
Posted by: Evan | July 20, 2009 1:36 PM
Chris -- I agree. Also a night where there are not guest bartenders.
Posted by: BaltBabs | July 20, 2009 1:37 PM
Yeah, I'm partial to Bad Decisions, but I'll be happy to attend the social wherever it lands. (I was disappointed to miss the last one.)
Roller derby afterparties and webcasts generally only happen at Bad Decisions on Saturday nights, so I don't think it'd be a problem to avoid that issue.
Posted by: Spam | July 20, 2009 1:47 PM
I think Bartenders would be a great host.
Posted by: chris | July 20, 2009 1:54 PM
if you decide on Fed Hill Larry's would be more than happy to host!
Posted by: Patty | July 20, 2009 2:09 PM
If you decide to do it in the county then definitely Racer's. They have a big outside area and we can checkout the new bar that they have been building for 8 years right next door. The new extension looks great. Racer's is definetly unpretentious and just a good place to hangout. I'll drive eCommerce.
Posted by: jason z | July 20, 2009 2:32 PM
I'm in. No thoughts on the name, although it's kinda limiting, I think the "S" theme should remain...
Bad Decisions sounds like a winner to me. I'm also down with NE, since that's my new 'hood. (I think? I'm still not really sure where I live now. There are trees here, that's all I've got.)

z & e, yall flyin', I'm buyin!
Posted by: Evan | July 20, 2009 3:13 PM
parkside, if only to find a way to help me finish my roster for the B.A.L.
Posted by: chw | July 20, 2009 4:35 PM
i vote for canton!
Posted by: ang | July 20, 2009 4:39 PM
fraizers wouldn't be a bad choice. they deff. have the space for it.
Posted by: Allan | July 20, 2009 4:45 PM
You pick the Social date and I'll be there to record the action. I've only heard good things about Racers.
Posted by: Courtney B. | July 20, 2009 4:49 PM
RACER'S!!!
Enough space + great beer selection... and and it's fairly close to where I live :)
Posted by: Brad | July 20, 2009 4:51 PM
Withdrawing my vote for NE. Turns out that although there are probably trees there too, that's not where I live now. Charles Village/Hampden get my vote for proximity and Bad Decisions gets it for awesomeness.
Posted by: The Artist FKA CantonKate | July 20, 2009 5:10 PM
Yes, The Parkside is also very nice. Although it's more of a restaurant, I think they would be very accomodating to a large group of revelers.
Then again, Racers has free peanuts and an incredible beer selection.
Isn't it awesome that we live in a city where it's so difficult to choose between all of the excellent places to host a get-together?
Posted by: Ryan Graham | July 20, 2009 5:25 PM
Racer's has parking across the street, great beer. Maybe Sam can reserve a keg of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale that they probably are going to use this week for Christmas in July.
The county would be a big move for Midnight Sun. Bigtime Sam!
I got the first round at Racer's and I got the second round if it is somewhere else!
I never see EL having a gathering;)
Posted by: jason z | July 20, 2009 5:56 PM
Ryan-
Racers does have a nice beer selection, but Parkside's isn't too shabby either:

But... no free peanuts.

If we do it on a Friday, those of us in the industry may have difficulty attending. If that's your goal, Friday is a winner.
Posted by: John | July 21, 2009 2:36 AM
John, we'll just go to whatever bar you're working at and you can hook us up with free drinks.
Deal?
Deal!
Posted by: Corey | July 21, 2009 9:05 AM
Not sure Friday would be best.
Previous "Tweet ups" have been held on a Tuesday night and are wildly successful.
Posted by: Brad | July 21, 2009 10:19 AM
Pickled Parrot!
Posted by: good gravy | July 21, 2009 10:20 AM
Lagers.... ;)
Posted by: eeyore | July 21, 2009 11:37 AM
x2 on Lager's. It is not only getting sexy in there, but they are requesting outside seating to compliment their excellent food!!!
That being said, Silks would be neutral and would include parking. Those that wouldn't get buzzed in could drink at the nearby Stackhouse or Mahaffey's.
Posted by: Cheese | July 21, 2009 3:35 PM
Definitely not a Friday/Saturday for those of us actually in the industry. A Sunday/Funday might accommodate all, or a Tuesday/Wednesday.
Posted by: Abject Disaster | July 21, 2009 5:45 PM
Let's have it at Harry's American Bar.
Posted by: turd | July 21, 2009 5:49 PM
I'm in!
