Hey- I went to the show at the Lyric last night and it was awesome. One of my friends went to 8x10 and Eddie was there afterwards.... I'm wondering where the mix-up was? He said he saw him play a couple songs, but not many because he showed up late....
were you there last night?

Lindsey, yeah, I was there for Jerry's show. I left close to 1 a.m. when it ended, and there was no Vedder. Maybe he rolled in super late -- Jerry did say he was sticking around for beers with fans. I'll check with the club this morning and let everybody know what happened.

I hope you didn't pay your "sources" too much for that info.

So what perk(s) did you receive for helping them sell out last night?
Posted by: jason | June 16, 2009 10:49 AM
Can I get some cool Sam Sessa swag for being right?
Posted by: Chris | June 16, 2009 10:54 AM
Perks? What are you talking about? I was just as disappointed as everybody else. Heck, I barely knew Jerry Hannan and the Decades before last night. Their set was good but not great. I definitely wouldn't have gone if I hadn't heard Vedder might be there.
And Hedley, I don't pay sources anything. Never have, never will.

Well I could have told you he wouldn't show. He is too good for the Baltimore 8x10!

Sam - that reminded me, your last check bounced. I'm going to need you to make your next payment in cash.
Sincerely,
Source

I'm not sure I want to know, but any update? I was there till about 1:30, and there wasn't any Eddie...

Any Pearl Jam fan would just have to wait around the Lyric the last two nights to see Ed Ved.

C'mon folks. Get over it. Give the folks who run the 8x10 a break - even if a little hype was involved.
Brian and Abbie generally run a good operation - they're honest, they deliver good value, they support the local musicians' community, and they serve a harsh master (Dave Rather) who might actually benefit if they falter.
Eddie Vedder or not - Support the 8x10 - it's one of the best things about Baltimore and Federal Hill.

@The8x10 is sorry that Eddie Vedder did not sit in with Jerry Hannan last night. We were told that he had confirmed. sometimes it just goes that way

I heard Eddie was kissing hands and shaking babies outside the Lyric next to his tour bus.

Jerry! Jerry!

In case you haven't seen it, here is an update: http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/midnight_sun/blog/2009/06/its_official_eddie_vedder_did.html

Why report rumor and feed speculation only to follow it up with a misleading headline and not have a review of one of the two great performances in Baltimore by a rock icon?
Posted by: misleadingheadline | June 16, 2009 5:37 PM
If anyone went to the Sunday show, can you please tell me what happened when the stage went black and Eddie freaked a little because they were playing a recording. That whole thing was a little weird and we really could not figure out what happened. If he needed to take a break, why didn't he just take one? I haven't found any reference to this online anywhere. He even said himself "this has never happened before."

N Silver - the song is called ARC its off Riot Act. Eddie layers vocals using a machine and creates a wall of sound that is entirely his own vocals...to do this he needs complete silence so you don't hear someone yelling when playing the layers...something completely unique. this was the first time he was interrupted during the song and couldn't finish it.

Where is the concert review?!

OK, so, my inside source for this whole little scandal has come forward with his side of the story. Check it out:
