World champion swimmer and local hero Michael Phelps dropped by Sullivan's Steakhouse (1 E. Pratt St.) Monday, according to Andrea Kunicky, the restaurant's publicist.
Phelps chowed down on the seafood sampler and the New York strip, Kunicky said.
He was accompanied by about a dozen of his friends.
Phelps, it seems, rolls deep.

I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.

failed to mention if they gave Phelps & co. got the meal free
or at least a break on the bill for using his appearrance there
as an attention getting devise for publicity.

Did Sullivan's make him wear his hat straight or did they allow him to keep it cocked to the side in his wonderful O.G. way?

LGood....I've been thinking about quitting B'more and moving out to Vegas and becoming a handicapper.
Evan, I was out in AZ for the tourney 2 weeks ago. Thabeet walked out into the crowd after UConn won their game. Seems like he'd be a fun dude to hang with, maybe that's what ole Mikey was thinking?
