Did anybody see Blaqstarr at Sonar last night?

blaqstarrI want to know how the show was.

I heard international superstar M.I.A. was supposed to make a surprise appearance.

Did that happen?

And how was Blaqstarr's set?

Fill me in, please.

I didn't

A friend of mine went. I'll have him contact you. Don't think he's one of your regular posters. {That sounds wrong.}

It was pretty fun, a little too rowdy for me for a sleepy sunday, but the crowd was VERY into it. MIA did not show up, but I didn't really expect her too since isn't Coachella today or tomorrow?

It was a mix of club, radio rap, some dancehall sounding stuff, lots of call and response... seemed like everyone was having a good time. I left right as Blaqstarr's set was starting, but I imagine that it got even wilder after he got on stage. He always kills it.

Sorry, but ripping off the name from a real rap group (Black Star) won't make me see your show, dude.

Since he's lacking originality in his name, it's only safe to assume it's also lacking in his music...

Itisme, don't you know what happens when you assume?

Yes, idiots like you actually learn something.

Let me know when you want to learn about music. I teach for free...

Really? Sweet! I'm always down for a free music lesson. Do dish, ItIsMe.
