Clearing Mondo Bondo Bistro's name
This weekend, I published a post stating that Mondo Bondo Bistro and Mex in Power Plant Live were shut down Friday night by the Health Department due to a mice infestation.
That's what Olivia Farrow, the city's interim health commissioner, told me.
She also said Mosaic was closed for serving food without a license.
Farrow called me back later Saturday afternoon to correct herself ...
Mondo Bondo Bistro was already closed for the night when the inspectors got there. It was never closed due to rodents ...
I updated the original post, but thought writing another one couldn't hurt. I called Mondo Bondo Bistro yesterday to try and speak to the manager, but the phone just kept ringing.

Never been there after hours, but for lunch it's one of my fave spots. Their homemade chips are pretty awesome. I've never seen it that dirty, but again, only been a patron during the day, and with dirty Mex next door it could be really hard to stop infestations even with the highest standards.
