Roll call: Who is coming to the Shindig tomorrow?

brewer's art baltimoreIn case you're stumbling upon this for the first time (and shame on you!), Midnight Sun is sponsoring a Shindig at the Brewer's Art (pictured) tomorrow (March 5).

It starts at 6 p.m. and goes until it ends. Probably pretty late.

Thus far, confirmed guests of honor include Ron Furman (of Max's Taphouse), Jason Zink (Don't Know, No Idea), Joe Edwardsen (Joe Squared Pizza), Chris Furst (Power Plant Live), Danny Young (Muggsy's Mug House) Brendan and Randal (Idle Hour) and many more.

Some of 'em might bring their managers, bartenders and maybe even a few regulars with them.

The Midnight Sunners who will be dropping by are Courtney, BA, Evan, Bryanintimonium, Mark Twain, jmgiordano, Patchen, Queen Colleen and a bunch more I can't remember offhand.

The question is, are you going to be there? Roll call!

I am afraid to even ask but is *cough* Tim Lumber making an appearance? Forgive me for asking everyone. I just want to be prepared. And how did you get "Brendall" aka Randal and Brendan to both come? Who's watching Idle Hour?

Unsure about Tim. He and I had a falling out.

Brandall has been pumped about the Shindig for a while. I think they like knowing that they don't have to work -- they can just sit back and enjoy themselves. Plus I'm giving them an award, which requires them to accept it in person.

I'm there...Jason - you wanna car pool?

you guys can pick me up too! That would be sweet!

But will there be bacon vodka?

There will be bacon vodka.

(also jasmine tea / cucumber vodka - it's gee dee em effing good)

Various members of DMFS will be there, probably around 7PM. Nikc says he's getting drunk.

Is it downstairs or in the lounge upstairs?

WTMD Gift Bags for all! (yeah, that's right, I'm not only coming, but I'm bringing presents.)

Ryan, upstairs at first, and then we might spill into the downstairs. Depends on how many people show up.

I'm also setting out nametags, so people will know who is who. Or is it who is whom? I just don't know.

we get SWAG? Sweet! And from WTMD! I see a hangover in my near future.

I WILL BE THERE. Can anybody give me directions??? I am so excited to finally meet.!!!!!!

Nametags = awesome. Now I don't even have to say I'm you. I'll just write your name on my nametag and wait for the free drinks to roll in!

I will be there!

i will be a bit late but should be there by 7:30-ish.

stupid training for a half-marathon getting in the way of my drinking.

As long as 95 and 83 cooperate, I will be there.

Are all welcome to attend?

I'm in.

-jaw, of course, all are welcome! it's the midnight sun shindig!

Gonna try and stop by for at least one beer. Actually never been to Brewer's Art. I have had their beer off-site, however.

Hoping to make an appearance. (I think I belong to every damn media drinking club in town now. Mavens, 2010s, now this. My liver can't take anymore!)

I'm going to try to make an early appearance. [insert blah blah blah plans excuse here that start at 7:30 in Canton]

I wasn't going to come, but now I'm planning on making a monumental effort just for a WTMD gift bag!

Mid-Atlantic Brewing News' Baltimore columnist is planning to be there. Got something non-alcoholic for the time being? (Blame the doctors and my gall bladder/pancreas.)

Thank goodness I didn't schedule an early Friday morning meeting. I can finally meet queen_colleen! I'm glad the very annoying Mr. L. is not coming. This will be a fun night with positive, music-loving humans and intelligent conversation.

WTMD swag on top of it all. Awesomeness!
Amy, can you drag Billy Zero for a beer so he can meet the MS faithful?

i'm in.

Sessa, you genius you! Today is National Name Tag Day! (Yeah, I'm totally serious about that.) Perfect Timing!

Courtney - Billy's been doing the morning show this week and commuting from DC, so I doubt we'll be seeing him this evening. But I'll pass your message along!

IN. may bring others. is amie coming?!

amie is not coming, unfortunately, because she is going to be on call at the hospital. believe me, she wishes she could be there. but duty calls.

How about the little sis, Sam?

She's 21 now! She can taste her first

Ressurrection!

sadly no, i am stuck at the hospital until noon tommorrow. feel free to deliver gifts of wine and rosemary-garlic fries to my call room on the 11th floor!

lowercase m, thanks for thining of me, i'll miss you!

It was great to meet everyone last night...

Evan - thanks for the tea vodka
Anon - thanks for the ride in that pimp mobile
Colleen - thanks for the great conversation
Jason - Thanks for nothing by leaving early

and lastly...
Sam - thanks for causing me to wake up this morning fully dressed on my sofa with a headache.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
