BARCS is a fantastic organization. I volunteer there, and sometimes I feel like I get more out of being a volunteer than they get out of me. Playing with the cats and walking the dogs is a great mood-booster, and the volunteer training has taught me a lot of useful stuff for whenever I grow up enough to get my own pet, hehe.

BARCS is located at 301 Stockholm Street between the Ravens stadium and the Greyhound Terminal. The shelter is open for adoptions from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and 12:30 pm to 6 pm weekdays.
