And the winner is ...

Joe! The mystery bar is indeed the Pratt Street Ale House.

I am shocked that Joe, whoever he is, guessed correctly. I mean, that place looks drastically different from when it was the Wharf Rat. Joe, e-mail me with your address and I'll mail you your prize.

And thanks again everyone for playing.

You know, it would have been a tad easier if you hadn't gone ahead and mentioned the place in your blog a couple days earlier.

As for the comment that they "stripped the soul" out of the place--one, the owners/management say they're "not done yet" and are keenly aware that there's folks saying they trashed the place. All the stuff that was on the walls is still stashed upstairs, save for a few things reclaimed by the former owner. However, what many folks saw as charisma and quaint decor others (rightfully) saw as dust-gatherers, cobwebs, and dingy messes. And if you stop and think about it, what the hell was anyone thinking putting the word "RAT" in the name of a restaurant?!? (Sorry, Bill, but they had a point.)

Oh, so now it's my fault?!?!?! Is that what you're saying? IS THAT WHAT YOURE SAYING?

No Sam it's my fault, always has been, always will be.

Oh ok, cool. Thanks for clearing that up, Joe.
