XS has a new lounge

xsHow was everyone's weekend? Did you do anything crazysexycool?

Midnight Sunner Evan posted a pretty funny recap of his exploits at Max's Belgian Fest, complete with videos of the experience.

I have some nightlife news to share with everyone: XS, the restaurant and bar at 1307 N. Charles St., has a new lounge space. It's on their third (or maybe fourth) floor. XS has so many tiers I sometimes lose count.

The building owners blasted a hole in the brick wall, and created a dark, inviting lounge in the neighboring building space ...

It's not worth a nightlife column, methinks, but it is worth noting. If you're in the area and looking for a low-key spot to chill on a Friday or Saturday night, keep it in mind. XS has great chocolate chip pancakes, if that's your thing, but I haven't spent many late nights there.

I also dropped by another brand new bar, which I will post about later today. And I hit up two favorites, which were awesome, as always: Brewer's Art and the Idle Hour. Good weekend for me, all in all.

How was yours?

what is this a leisure professinal building or department store?
any floor walkers to ask directions or help?

I enjoyed some happy hour time at Metropolitan. I snooped around the old Banjara space, they are working in there. I had heard that the chef, Tony, from Metropolitan was connected to whatever is going into Banjara's old space. It looks to have a big old bar in the middle that wraps around onto the smaller other side. Any idea what's going on there?

AC-M, that's interesting news about that space. I knew something was going on there, but I'll call the Metro and see if they know more. Thanks for the tip.

Who cares AC-M! Do you mind if I call you ACME? I dont work here anymore and now its time to school you! Wow what a boring comment! Sam Sessa you find that interesting news? Please dont tell me your drinking at work again!

Tim Lumber, just go away. I see you haven't posted lately, so I hope that you really aren't posting on MS anymore.

Quit crying Karlosi! What did I hurt your feelings by leaving a comment? Grow up you baby! No I wont go away...Im a living legend in Baltimore! You button your lips! You dont tell me what to do bucktooth!

All you dumb and dumber readers got me fired! Now its payback time! I will be schooling all of you readers so bad...I may even mail you boring losers a notebook! They dont call me living legend for nothing!

ha ha ha tim's a funny guy, no one's hurt by what you say. people now just see you as a spoiled pesky brat that keeps getting under foot. no one tells you what to do. if you were on the titanic and someone told you to get on a lifeboat you wouldn't do that. you were actually on payroll? scarey

Scarey : When I looked it up in the dictionary I seen a picture of Karlosi!

tim - what dictionary are you using, I spelled scary wrong you hack writer!

1st thing, lumber, you got your own backwater self fired. 2nd thing, they don't call you living legend, they call you nothing. as usual you are confused.
