Who would win in a fight: the Snuggie or the Slanket?
Until I checked my e-mail this morning, I'd never heard of the Slanket. But apparently, it was quite the item for the (few) people who got it.
Here's an e-mail from Midnight Sun reader Melina:
I am thrilled about your recent posts on the Snuggie. My friend Nick bought a Slanket over a year ago, after he got his first job out of college ($50 + shipping is pretty steep for a blanket in college).
Ever since I saw his Slanket, which was before the Snuggie craze, my best friend and I wanted one. A year later, as soon as I got my first job out of college, I bought a Slanket and my best friend and her sister got them for Christmas.
Some people think we're crazy, but blankets with sleeves are where it's at! I'm actually wearing mine right now! ...
Attached is a picture of my best friend, Lauren, and I in our Slankets. I showed Lauren your posts and she loved them as well, but she lives in New York and cannot attend the Snuggie Crawl.
Her 23rd Birthday is Saturday (I jokingly told her that the crawl is in honor of her bday), and I'm sad that I can't be with her on her birthday. Could you possibly post this picture of us in our Slankets? It would really mean a lot to me, and would be an extra special birthday present to her.
Thanks,
Melina (pictured on left, Lauren the bday girl on right)
PS- Have you heard about the nuddle?
Melina, no, I haven't heard of the nuddle, and I'm not sure I want to. Hee hee. Happy birthday, Lauren!

The Slanket is far superior to the Snuggie in quality. It's made of a much better fleece. Think L.L. Bean vs. Wal-Mart.

I'm going with the wildcard and saying that the spork defeats all.

Don't think of it as a fight. Think of it as a poly-fleece-blend heaven.
