Snuggies pub crawl Saturday in South Baltimore
I AM SNUGGLES THE WIZARD, AND I, SNUGGLES THE WIZARD, COMMAND YOU TO READ THE FOLLOWING:
This Saturday, the folks at Captain Larry's, (601 E. Fort Ave.) are organizing a Snuggies Pub Crawl, which runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and hits about a dozen South Baltimore bars.
Don't know what a Snuggie is? Hint: I'm wearing one in this photo.
Still confused? Read this.
Here is the route for the pub crawl, complete with Snuggies specials:
Route:
1. Captain Larry s - $2 Yeungling & Miller Lite Drafts
2. Rafters - $2 Yeungling & Bud Lite Drafts
3. Hogans Alley
4. Idle Hour
5. Don't Know - $2 Miller Lite bottles & drafts & free lite buffet
6. Southside
7. Little Havana's
8. The Tavern on Key Hwy
9. Sly Fox
10. Lime
11. Paul's
12. End at Captain Larry's ...
The kids at Captain Larry's are also awarding prizes to the people who wear their Snuggies the most interesting way. Hmm.
Either way, this sounds like fun. Unless you're a smoker. Who knows just how flammable these things are? I'll bet if somebody steps outside for a smoke and doesn't flick the cigarette butt far enough, he/she would flare up like a Christmas tree in February.

Where's your pointy hat with glow-in-the-dark stars, Snuggles the Wizard? Hurry, you still have time to make one!
This event must be properly documented. I'll see you on Saturday.

Bravo, Captain Larry's. This is a great idea.
Honestly, the good people at Snuggie Inc. should sponsor this thing. If they don't, the Slanket Corp. (www.theslanket.com) should step in.

just remember Padawan that there is always a bigger fish.

If you don't have one go the Ghetto Snuggies route and throw a robe on backwards. You might even win a prize.

you look like a very warm extra on the Thriller video set. remember what we talked about, don't go near the smokers, those things'll go up quicker than a coat of old pine needles.

You can buy these at Bed Bath & Beyond* too, so if you don't have one there's still time!
*At least they had them in stock the last time I was there.

samster, that's quite a spiffy look you've got going. you look like you're 3-feet-tall and legless. and maybe doing your best quasimodo. ... but in a good way. yep, i need a snuggie... pronto!

Though I love the idea of this...I will not be attending. This decision comes from the many times that I have been to Captain Larry's and their theme parties. They have to be the rudest establishment I have ever been to. They are so worried about themselves (meaning the people that worth there) they don't care about the patrons that are there. The bartenders are horrible. (The blond chick in particular). Though the food is good...good luck bothering the bartender to order something.
Larry's could be a great time. Let's try focusing on making the customers happy. I am sure if it was more welcoming...more folks in the neighborhood was come.

As I said in my blog post: What could possibly go wrong.
I need to get my Snuggie, but I shall be there.

OMG, please don't tell me this is a joke. Can I still participate if I'm wearing my cheap rip off Slanket instead of the real, authentic Snuggie???

I am OBSESSED with my snuggie. I also love the book light that came with it. My snuggie is very static though and shocks me a lot!

omg, might die of laughter...you're the best.

To Lori, You must be one of those rude customers that frequent all of the bars in the neighborhood. Where do you think you are at girlfriend, NYC? Maybe, people like you should stay away. I'm sure you are the pushy, rude nasty customer that all waitstaff love to hate. Try loving, not hating.

I used to live on Webster and found the staff at Captain Larrys rude also

I'll bet you can get rid of the static problem with a good blast of Static Guard spray. The toxic chemical smell is a little alarming, but it dissipates quickly.
