La Marsa is under new management
Or at least that's what the sign out front says.
Are you familiar with La Marsa (706 S. Broadway)? As far as I know, it's the only hookah bar in Fells Point. It opened in March 2006, offering different kinds of shisha (flavored tobacco) and small plates.
Not sure who the new management is, though.
Raouf Yousfi was the owner back when I reviewed it ...
I just don't know if La Marsa ever caught on. In passing, I never saw many people in La Marsa.
Anybody know more about this?
From the signs on the window, it looks like they're offering tarot card readings, as well as a happy hour from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.

It never had much of a crowd except for Cheerleaders overflow. Not the crowd you want to cater to. They also were before the liquor board on some things that every bar with a 6 day license does.
They must have [peeved] someone off.
