Comments
maybe if you wrote that Buddy Miller had a heart attack and told his doctors that he heard that Looney's may be closing, you would get more comments.

Wow! I'm certainly glad he was able to get treatment at a fabulous hospital. I'm sure he'll recover beautifully.
Dr. Steve Schulman and his staff saved my Mom's life (and she's 82) when she was in the JHH Cardiac Care Unit.
redman, for goodness sake, Buddy Miller could've died without intervention. Save the stupid Looney's comments for later.

The Looney's remark is tacky and callous to the extreme.
Major mea culpa should be forthcoming.

Is Looney's closing?
Posted by: Say now what!! | February 23, 2009 2:08 PM
Thanks for the news, Sam -- I hadn't read this anywhere else. Scary.

@ GDA. ur right...I'm sorry.
To suggest that a Canton financial engine is closing is callous and it could lead to the major meltdown of the bar/pub financial sector costing thousands of waitstaffers their jobs.
Next time, i will refer to someplace like JD's Smokehouse.
my point, GDA, was that people do not respond to posts like this. They would rather snipe at each other and propagate rumor than care about a musician who had a heart attack.

Over-the-top, self-declared humanists, swarm on Red Man for his attempt to add some air to a sad story. Lord knows his intention was REALLY to laugh at the misfortune of others.
Get over yourselves.

Is JD's closing?
Posted by: Huh? | February 24, 2009 7:58 AM
Huh?,
Thank you for giving a positively sterling example of what redman was pointing out about compassion in the blog.
This topic is about the perilous health of a musician who recently performed in Baltimore, not about Bar/Club/Resturant opennings or closings or their other activities. Your inquery belongs somewhere, almost anywhere else.

Hmm... I would like to offer GDA a stiff drink at his bar of choosing.
Grab my info from Sam if interested.

Buddy Miller is an American treasure -as beautiful a guitar-player as we've produced and he'd be the first to deny this - the majesty of his playing makes him a first among equals - and he's known primarily for his singing! May his recover be complete. His new album issues this month - let's hope many more follow.
