Frank Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim

These two gents would be my guests on the opening night of Sessa's Supper Club. Imagine holding your date tight and gently swirling around the dance floor while Sinatra and Jobim serenaded you.

Sigh.

One of my top 10 albums is the first one Sinatra did with Jobim. Every song is brilliantly executed. In fact, DMFS made an exact replica of the album art (front and back) for our CD. I'd say about 1 in 50 people get the reference. It's a shame that more people don't take the time to explore older music.

except, of course, that they'd have to appear as zombies: both are dead.

among the living, i'd invite Tony Bennett...

washedup,

Actually, because of the length of time since their passing, they would have to appear as materialized apparitions. You'll need to turn up the heat as it would probably get chilly.

Amongst the living, Harry Connick, Jr. would be a good choice.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
