Another awesome yet pointless invention

There exists a robot which is part mini-fridge and part beer opener. This is not a legend. This is real.

All you do is put a glass mug in its hand and push a button. The robot does the rest. The downside? It takes freaking forever, and I'm sure it costs a fortune. But it does rank pretty high on the Awesome-O-Meter. It even speaks Japanese! At least I think it's Japanese.

a search on this automaton revealed it's called Asahi Robocoo.
TFTS (technology gadgets & curiousities) site has a write up on it:

Japan Trend Shop has ordering infomation on it, "You can now get the original beer-pouring robot for yourself, and most likely become the only person on your continent who has one", but list it as being sold out since the posting of the above video clip.

I like this feature, Programmable voice (male, female, or custom). I am still trying to imagine what custom could sound like.
