I live in the area and I've heard from surrounding businesses and others that it might be open at the end of September, so like the first week or two of October.

Yay! I hope this is true---I miss this place. The lady at the liquor store across the street from Metropolitan told me it would be at least a year before they could reopen (after dealing with insurance and such).

You probly spoke to her right after the fire happened, when the original expectations were set far out. The rehab work is finished in the main dining area (not sure about upstairs) but they were doing some work in the kitchen late last night (9pm) so it seems they are pushing for an earlier opening...
