Whatchagonnadothisweekend?

I'm going out on a (top secret) nightlife column that will blow open this city's club scene once and for all. And I'm going to watch the Ravens pre-season game.

Heh. I'll share more with y'all on Monday.

What about you? Doing anything fun this weekend? Talk to me!

for once, my weekend is up in the air. it's the girlfriend's last weekend before returning to teaching, and we're looking for something fun. any suggestions?

(in addition to posting your own plans!)

Off to the St. Gabriel's Festival in Little Italy tomorrow. Bocce Ball, beer, broccoli rabe....what's not to like?

Starting new job tommorow....then off to Looney's to watch the ravens game....Sunday don't know yet, any suggestions?

leaving for a much needed vacation to Myrtle Beach with the love of my life!!!

YES!!!!

Hot August Blues Festival at Oregon Ridge Park on saturday during the day, then hitting up the Purple Patio at Mothers for the Ravens game.

Volunteering at the Saint Gabriel festival. Umm..porchetta and broccoli rabe.

Allan- I'm in the same boat with my wife (teacher). Whatever you do, get out of the house!!! You know she'll be a different woman in a few short weeks. Live while you can!!
My formula: ... find a new bar/restaurant that you haven't been to for late night apps/drinks.
Depending on budget, add dinner, movie, etc. I find the further away the spot is from where we live, (and hence the less chance of running into people you know) the better. But don't go too far or she'll fall asleep/pass out before you get home. And know body wants that.
We hit up restaurant week in DC this week. Well worth the drive.

On Saturday, I'm at Richmond for a wedding?

Anyone know of any good bars in downtown Richmond?

Tonight i will continue to regret last night's dance with my kegerator, possibly go to Little Havana. Saturday I'm going to a sweet bonfire party at a horse farm.

AND ALSO I'M STARTING A BATCH OF BACON VODKA Y'ALL

"You know she'll be a different woman in a few short weeks. Live while you can!!"

Amen, brother. Thanks for the tips!

Here's where you'll end up Drew, talking off some awful bartender's ear about how you wept when you realized you'd miss the soiree.

You enjoy grinding out those $4.75 20 ouncers, Sally

Applebee's Bar and Grill
5400 W Broad St, Richmond, VA

You probably don't want to know.

Oh, and another wedding.

evan,

do come to little havana's tonight! i'll be there with the man. [guess who i am, muahahahah]

waverly market in the morning, then a friend's 50th surprise party tomorrow evening, followed by another friend's late-night dramatic 24th birthday celebration.

& st. gabe's on sunday.

drew - carytown is cute. i went to a bar in richmond with nearly toothless, exceptionally bearded bartenders and had a blast. can't recall the name . . hope you stumble upon something good!

Tonight... Drinks, then ... Tomorrow, Ravens... Sunday on a early morning flight to Cali.

Purple Patio from 3 pm on Saturday.
And oddly I too am without plans for my Sunday and Monday off. What to do, what to do?
Evan- you are welcome to stop by Mothers and I'd be happy to sample your bacon vodka. :)

Where's everybody going after the Ravens game???????

everyone went to Mothers after the game. Sigh and yawn. Thank you!

Smith, stow it! the thing with Drew got old weeks ago.

Colleen,

Doesn't sound like a memorible moment, like been there, done that yet again.
Did you get any overtime out of this?
