The soiree is tomorrow!

cocktailAre you ready?

Tomorrow is the first official Midnight Sun soiree, 7 p.m. at the Idle Hour (201 E. Fort Ave.).

Various drink specials will be offered (I remember Jason saying he was going to bring some food too) and Evan will bring his glorious homemade bacon vodka.

In other news, I received eight (8) bobble head figures from the new movie Tropic Thunder and I will be giving these away to the first eight (8) Midnight Sun commenters through the door.

Queen C. and eCommerce, I'm sad you will not be able to make it, but we'll raise a glass or two for you.

Silly Ravens and their silly football.

Also, if you're worried about missing the game, the Idle Hour does have a TV they bring out specifically for Ravens games, so if you want to watch it, you can.

Sam, I'd like to be there...I was planning to be, but as you noted those silly blackbirds have gotten in the way. I've been called into work tomorrow evening. I'll be at the next one. Take a double shot of the bacon for me.

In order to receive the bobblehead, how should we identify ourselves, besides saying "Give me the bobblehead, Sessa, or I'll take the bacon vodka."

I would love to know how bacon vodka tastes, never heard of it.

Ted, if you say those words exactly, I'll know who you are. And if there are any left at that point, I'll give ya one.

Dionne, are you sure you want to know? You will find what you seek at the soiree.

I was just going to grab the bobblehead from whoever was holding it and run off.

Also - I will not be there. Curse you and your weeknight social gatherings!

Take pics and post them on the blog tomorrow. It'll be like I was there. Only not. Have fun everyone. And feel free to run through the thongs of Ravens fans to bring me some bacon vodka down at Mothers. :)

Colleen... I will try to make it down to see you on the way. Jason - txt a brotha if things are still happening at halftime. Won't make it much longer than that at the stadium.

I'm posting on your blog for the first time to be in the running for the bobbleheads. See you there Sam.

I was really hoping I'd make it out to this, but it looks like deadlines will keep me home tomorrow night. Hope there'll be another one soon.

Sorry Sam, turns out I did have to go to that conference. Enjoy the bacon vodka!

[darn], can't make it to this one. I've been wanting to check out Idle Hour for a while now, too.

Do it again soon!

Sorry Sam...got free tix to ravens game...

I too was called in to work. Ill catch the next one!

I will be there with bells on! And a droopy face. Boo for poorly planned emergency visits to the dentist's office.

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
