Fab Five Friday

Happy 4th!

And thanks for your list of fake bar names.

Here are my five favorites ...

1. Fu Bar

Hilarious. Thanks Ted.

2. Fumbles Sports Bar

Jmgiordano's time-tested classic.

3. Ful

You might not understand unless you read the back story. Bryanintimonium's club will dance circles around Pur. I'm sur of that.

4. The K Hole

I'd be a regular at Evan's Killian's bar. I mean, what did you think the K stood for?

5. Hawaii-Pie-O

Jason's idea for a pizza bar is incredibly cheesy. Zing(k)!

Fu Bar is already an actual, non-fake bar name in Manhattan. At least it was. I know it was damaged when that crane fell on it several months ago, although i don't think it was totlally destroyed, so it has probably been reopened by now.

Hit by a falling crane, eh? So, Fu Bar was FUBAR?

About Sam Sessa
I've been The Baltimore Sun's nightlife and local entertainment reporter for a couple years, and it's surprising how much the scene has grown in that time. Most of Baltimore's bars and clubs are unpretentious places with fairly cheap drinks and plenty of character. I like dancing and think this city needs more clubs, but nothing beats having a cold, locally brewed beer with friends in a comfortably full corner bar.
