Stopped in J.R.'s on Hull Street a few days ago to grab a burger. The place smelled like a full ashtray that had been dropped in a bucket of sweat. No music on, no sound on the O's game. Just me and the person I went with, one lonely guy at the bar, and two employees playing pool. Needless to say...I got my burger to go.

With the countless bars in the city and surrounding areas, why would anyone spend time in a smelly one? That is worse than spending time in a line waiting to get into a crowded bar where you'll have to wait 20 minutes to get a drink.

Bertha's, either someone took a really nasty dump, or something is dead in the walls. Woo momma, it's stinky in there!

I think that the Red House Tavern in Canton smells like vomit and poo(only at the front of the bar). It's very overwhelming. So is their lack of service. The owner is super nice...but the bartender was the WORST. Sorry man just I had to vent. It's stinky and you can't get a drinky!

The Perry Inn (now called Smash Daddy's? - a rather lame new name.) Nothing like stale beer, mixers, and rot-gut booze to create the signature odor. Add in the lingering odor of stale and smoky air, resulting from an incredibly poor ventilation over the last 20 years. BO is not generally an issue because so few people visit this stank-hole anymore. So bad that $1 beers can't coax anyone but the most hardened alcoholics in to the place. Last time I went, my wife made me leave my clothes in the garage and take a shower before I could come into the bedroom.

Looney's in the Square was particularly rank a few Wednesday's ago, probably as a result of the BSSC crowd... the upstairs can get pretty smelly on regular weekend nights too.

The Horse you came In On always has some sort of strange odor... or it may just be the people in there.

Frazier's on the Avenue has a particularly unique smell. Amazingly, after five full months of the smoking ban, the bar still manages to smell of cigarettes. Add that to the natural effervescence, and you've got a FFF-er, no doubt.
