Monday afternoon roll call
Why, hello there!
Rub those sleepies out of your eyes, friends, and share some weekend stories with me.
I know we usually do this in the morning, but the whole Grand Central fire thing took a big bite out of my day.
Let me tell ya's what I did this weekend. ...
Friday I went to a wine "tasting" at a friend's house. Saturday drug the Rhodes to a friend's house in Silver Spring for an afternoon jam session and went to Tabrizi's at night. Food was good but the place wasn't full.
Sunday, Amie and I canceled all our plans and made an Ocean City run.
And now, here I sit, slightly tanner but still Sessa.
How was your weekend?

Friday night, crashed.
Saturday, I had to go to a wedding... outside! I think I sweated off 5 pounds.
Sunday, watched the O''s game and did a mini-bar crawl. Sam, went to the Gin Mill. They now have a list of cocktails, including such favorites as an Old Fashion and a Sidecar. The remodeling looks nice, but it was pretty empty for a Sunday.

I checked out the Gin Mill on Saturday night. The down stairs has been redone and looks great. They move the bar and made it more of a U shape and put in some booths downstairs. They said they are still working on the upstairs. I took a look at their menu (had just eaten at Birches) and saw some dishes that came out, the tuna looked awesome. I will have to give their food a try next time I am there.

Friday: Went to Lebanese Taverna for my GF's birthday (food was great, service not so much), went to nam kang for a couple hours in a karaoke room (nothing is better than singing The Bangles like Tom Waits while there are random images of beaches and giraffes on the screen)
Saturday: Drove down to DC to see a GREAT M83 show.
Sunday: Listened to the O's (or should i say Albers) blow it in toronto, sat around trying to figure out what i could do that didn't involve being outside.
It sucks that it looks so nice out, then you walk outside and it literally feels like you just opened the oven door.

My wife and I go there often usually with friend, and I have never had a bad meal at Birches. The food takes longer than most places because they have a wood burning grill. But if you know that ahead of time and you go with friends, you can have a relaxing time in a nice environment. They also have some pretty good deals during the week.

Havana Club and Little Havana are totally different. The smoking ban is off at HAVANA CLUB.

Pigtown- thank you for providing clarification. Havana Club is a cigar bar at Power Plant Live, Little Havana is on the south side of the harbor and the smoking ban STILL is in effect inside. Smoking is allowed outside, however.
Rock- If you did in fact mean Little Havana, and have any problems regarding someone smoking inside at Little Havana, please notify a member of the staff and they will address it immediately!

Tu Chez, Pigtown...I knew I should've had 2 cups of coffee this morning.

Sometimes I forget that there is life outside of Fed Hill!
thank you for the clarification!

Friday: Worked a 12 hour midshift at my real world job.
Saturday: Recovered from 12 hour shift, hated my life due to A/C being broken in hot weather, then Dj'ed at Tantra Lounge in DC.
Sunday: Stayed cool, thanked the Lord that someone came to fix my A/C, and stayed at the pool.
